ECUA Employees Gets 3.5 Percent Pay Raise
June 27, 2011
The Emerald Cost Utilities Authority has approved a 3.5 percent pay raise for employees over the next three months to offset the portion of their salaries that they will be required to contribute to their retirement.
The raise will be effective July 1 until the end of the fiscal year on September 30. Beginning July 1, state legislation mandates that employees contribute three percent to the state pension system.
The temporary pay raise passed 3-1, with District 5 member Larry Walker voting against the increase.

of course the poverty rate for children is relatively high because poorer people are more likely to have children, regrettably in some cases out of boredom and lack of work to do, just as there’s a big increase in birhs nine months after a major power outage
As the U.S. poverty rate for children approachs 25%, I know I would feel fortunate for any pay increase.
nobody paid for my tirement fund. and now if you have money to give a raise . then you can stop adding the fuel sur- charge to our bill.
You’ve got to be kidding me
