Heat Advisory Issued

There is a heat advisory in effect for Tuesday as as the mercury touches the century mark and the heat index tops 110. It’s time for the summertime safety routine — take plenty of breaks if working outdoors, wear light colored clothing and drink plenty of fluids.

  • Tuesday: Isolated showers and thunderstorms after 1pm. Mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 100. Heat index values as high as 105. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
  • Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 73. West wind around 5 mph.
  • Wednesday: Isolated showers and thunderstorms after 1pm. Mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 99. West wind between 5 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
