Bluegrass Sounds: Barrineau Park Music Night

June 4, 2011

The Aubie Fillingim Auditorium at the Barrineau Park Community Center was filled with the bluegrass sounds of  The Chestang Family and The Rowell Bluegrass Band Friday night. It was the June installment of the monthly Barrineau Park Music Night, a free event held the first Friday night of each month.

The family-friendly event will not be held in July, but will return at 6:30 p.m. on August 5.

    They talent abounded Friday night.
“Annie Oakley” sang her heart out and the entire Chestang Family ( and friends) were terrific. I nearly cried at Spanky’s song he wrote and sang for his momma”All the Numbers”. The Rowells have such a talented family too. Those girls can make a fiddle and mandolin rock the house . and we love the way the show is so family oriented. Thanks BPCC for the monthly entertainment!
