Molino Man, 53, Dies In Highway 95A Crash

(UPDATED) A Molino man was killed in a wreck near his home sometime early Saturday morning or late Friday night.
Reuben B. Ard, Jr., 53, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which was discovered by a passerby about 6:30 a.m. on Highway 95A at Barrineau Park Road. Authorities said the crash had occurred perhaps several hours before it was discovered. There were no passengers in the vehicle.
Ard lost control in a curve as he traveled north on Highway 95A and ran off the road into a heavily wooded area where he struck several tree..

Darlene, Curtis & I just heard about the news and would like to extend our prayers to all of you. Curtis just called Rueben last Wednesday & had him on speaker phone talking & joking about old times. He was a special person that offered jobs to those who were less fortunate. He gave them hope, provided a way they could afford roofs over their heads & food in their stomachs. He was always there to help out if able & he will be dearly missed by an uncountable amount of people. May God wrap his arms around you & your family providing you with the comfort you so shall need at this time helping to ease the pain.

I grew up with the Ard family an knew Reuben from my childhood as a big brother. I was shocked and am deeply saddened to hear of his passing. He will be dearly missed on this earth. To his family, I am very sorry for your loss.

So sorry Bobby for the loss of your dad. Losing your mother and father within two months of each other is very hard. I pray that you lean to God for comfort, knowing that he cares.
Montana and Ms. Darlene are not the only ones hurt. Mr. Ruben had a little sister named Jodie. He was all Jodie had. She is hurt just as much as Montana and Ms. Darlene.

Back when I was in high school, Reuben lived with my family for awhile. He was my brothers best friend. He became like a brother to me, and although we didn’t keep in touch, I never forgot his kindness. He treated me like a sister. My heart goes out to his family. God bless them.
