Florida Senator Views Osama Photos; ‘No Doubt’ He’s Dead

May 13, 2011

Florida U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson says that he has viewed the classified photos of Osama bin Laden and there’s no doubt that he’s dead.

While supporting the decision to keep the photos of bin Laden’s body classified for now, Nelson called for them eventually to be released to the public.

As a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, Nelson, a Democrat, was one of the members of Congress shown the photos at the Central Intelligence Agency.

“There is no doubt in my mind – nor should there be in anyone else’s – that we got the terrorist who orchestrated the insane and murderous acts that took place on September 11, 2001,” Nelson said. “I’ve said already that I agree with President Obama’s decision not to release these pictures right now. Satisfying skeptics and conspiracy theorists isn’t worth inflaming radicals or putting our troops in even more danger. Still, I personally believe the free flow of information is tantamount to our democracy. Thus, these pictures should eventually be made part of the public record.”

There will always be the lunatic fringe that fall for every conspiracy theory that is brought to light. If Bush had ordered this military action, the GOP would be throwing a parade for him down the streets of NY city.

That song from The Wizard of Oz keeps coming to mind…

“He is not just merely dead,
But he is most sincerely dead.”

The proof, for me, is that the remaining Al Qaeda types are saying he’s dead, and they’re frothing with murderous rage about it. (Along with the rest of the very long list of things that they’re frothing with murderous rage about. “Sorry, Osama, you’ll have to take a number…”)

I agree with David whole heartedly. Well said David!

Forgive me if I don’t take Sen. Nelson’s word for it! There is not a person in Government service that I trust.

    REGARDING:
“when have we been a country set on revenge?”

When have we not? Forgive and forget doesn’t work when the opponent is bent on your destruction. Bad peace is better than the best war but war doesn’t end just because one side says, “I’m bored; let’s stop.” Both sides have to want to stop. Treat people decently when possible and harshly when necessary.

If the senator were to lie to the voters, that fact would eventually come out. While we have a long history of forgiving liars, it would still cost him some votes and votes add up.

And then there’s the question regarding the benefit of lying about it. Wife number 4 (given to him when she was 15) was there when he was killed. If he were not killed, she could say so. We aren’t in good relations with Pakistan for hosting him so long but they could check the brain matter splattered behind where he was standing and verify whether or not it was his.

Lots of people would like to see him tortured for his misdeeds, but-assuming Christ’s description of Hell to be correct-nothing a human could bring himself to do could match what he has experienced every second since May the first and will until the end of time.

As to any information he would give up under torture or any other form of questioning, the records would likely far surpass all he could say in a lifetime. What is more, the names and places in the records give additional sources of information unless they kill themselves first.

    David giving Senator Nelson
    and President Obama
    the benefit of the doubt

Well, this should make us all feel better. It’s official now (LOL)!

If you lie all year long about every subject, why should we believe him now about this?

Probably true. I would not be surprised if they actually have caught Bin Laden and are torturing him for what he has done and to get information from him to start wiping out Al Quida operatives. Would make for a great movie eh? I believe our President though. Both President Bush and President Obama rock when it comes to their passion to hold Osama Bin Laden and Al Quida responsible for 9/11!

I think those pictures should stay with the government, when have we been a country set on revenge? How would we show our views to the world, if that’s the only thing we are after? If that’s the case, how would others that we killed feel about us then?

They need time to photoshop the documents.
