Pleaaassssseeeeee….Bjay is right.
This will not change who YOU are, it will only make YOU wiser.
I think you should ALL HAVE A BIG PARTY FOR THE CHILDREN WHO
WERE AFFECTED BY THIS. That is who could be changed by this because
they are so young and impressionable, AND BE VERY CAREFUL WHAT YOU
SAY TO THEM AND HOW LONG YOU DEWELL ON THIS (IN FRONT OF THEM) BECAUSE THAT IS HOW LONG THEY WILL…. IS THAT WHAT YOU WANT.
THINK ABOUT THAT, TAKE ACTION AND MOVE ON.
ESCAMBIA COUNTY SHERIFFS OFFICE
FRAUD-SWINDLE (INCIDENT INFORMATION)
Based on a statement provided by witnesses and victims, Gerald Luker and Sonja Luker personally received money from friends, family, church members and fellow co-workers under the scheme that Sonja Luker was being treated for cancer. The money was given as a fund raiser for Sonja Luker, with the understanding that Gerald Luker and Sonja Luker were in financial need of assistance, due to excessive medical bills, caused by cancer treatments and treatment needs.
Additional news articles and youtube video provides evidence that Sonja Luker and Gerald Luker falsely claimed that Sonja Luker was being treated by a doctor associated with M.D. Anderson Hospital in Texas. On 03/09/2011 Christa Wilson received a Facebook message from Sonja Luker that provided the following statement;
Than came where I couldn’t show anywhere I had cancer but in 1999 when I had a XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX. I fooled my whole family with this, and I don’t remember a lot about it.
Based on the statements obtained from and by Sonja Luker, Gerald Luker, witnesses and documents received from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama, Sacred Heart Cancer Center, Sacred Heart Hospital and the Woman’s Group, it is clear the Sonja Luker did not have cancer and was not treated for, or currently being treated for cancer from 05/13/2004 to 10/13/2010 as indicated by Sonja Luker, Gerald Luker.
No more crying innocent
ENOUGH SAID
Chris you need to call your mom who raised you to be a better man than this.Tell her you are sorryfor the past how you treated her.
THE PROOF IS RIGHT THERE. SO NOW WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY KIEANN? WERE YOU IN ON IT TOO?
“Cancer has “knocked” at my door one to many times. Fighting for a cure for this disease has become my career.” Quoted by Sonja. Copied from HER facebook page! It really was a career.
I think its foolish to believe this will have a negative impact on future fund raisers or charity events. I may be more careful as to who I give money to but I will still give it to those I feel need it. Im sure everyone will do the same. I played in the softball tournament at Molino Ballpark for her and it was amazing how many people showed up to help her. The only thing we can control is what we give our money to, not where it goes. In a strange way this is bringing attention to a horrible disease and it may actually help out more than what we think. I still feel that this lady and her family that helped are rotten to the core, but when God hands you lemons make lemonade!
At least, it sounds like the money was spent wisely, on a place to live, cheap transportation, and a way to hunt for food. However, I want to know WHY such an underhanded and dispicable method. Why not just ask for help and tell the truth? Apply to the govt. or to charity. Surely those options could not be more embarrassing than all this. WHAT in the world were they thinking? I, for one, would really like to KNOW. I know a family living in shambles with a lack of good nutrition and barely making it, always sick from the way they have to live. However, they attend church, help out there, work and go to classes to help them do better. What makes the difference? And, I’d really like to know, WHY, WHY, WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My concern is if these 2 are found guilty in court, what impact will it have on actual cancer patients who are in need of help. Even the allogations put a bad taste in people’s mouths to give to those who are in dire need. I pray that whatever happens, it will not taint the goodwill of people, unfortunately, I feel it already has. The judge and or jury will decide the fate of these 2 but through all of it, I hope they realize they didn’t only hurt themselves, children, and family, but they have hurt and entire community and every cancer patient that will ever be. I know what it’s like to be behind on bills and have a house foreclosed on. I also know that it is wrong to fraudulently take money or anything else. Take the loss, learn from whatever brought about the circumstances, and be a better person for it….
These people should be put under the jail. My mother and sister are both fighting cancer. This is the most horrible thing you could do. They don’t need a bond they need a rope. People really don’t know what cancer patients feel like. My mother said it’s a pain you cannot describe, and to see your loved ones in pain and there is nothing you can do but pray. These two will reap what you sow. IT’S TOO BAD THE SHERIFF IS NOT THE JUDGE AND THE JURY.
