Molino Community Center Project Progressing
April 12, 2011
Work is progressing on the conversion of the Old Molino Elementary School into a community center and museum. Escambia County expects the project to be ready for bids by the end of April.
A library kiosk area is included in the current plans, and some areas of the facility will remain unfinished for a future library once funding becomes available. There are a total of five buildings at the site; however, only the 15,600 square foot main building is the focus of the renovation project.
A change order to include the addition of a new facility for the Tax Collector and Property Appraiser was approved by the Escambia County Commission on February 17, 2010.

I did it online. And let me tell you, there are some might smart mouthed people working there. I hope to heck it’s volunteer and not paid because if tax dollars are going to pay them to treat caring citizens the way they did me, I’m pretty PO’d.
Crimestoppers………. you’re lucky you got anyone to answer the phone. I called about a wanted fugitive before and no one ever answered, I got a recording telling me to call back. I tried to call for 3 days and gave up on anyone manning the phones.
And yet they still haven’t done anything to the vandals, but then….crimestoppers says it didn’t happen, even though I saw it with my own eyes. Whatever.
