Molino Man Pleads Not Guilty To Torching His Foreclosed Home

April 9, 2011

A Molino man charged with setting fire to his home that was in foreclosure last fall has pleaded not guilty.

George Thomas Alexander, 49, entered the not guilty plea this week on a charge of felony first degree arson in Escambia County Circuit Court. The charge is in connection with the fire in the 3500 block of Molino Road on October 6, 2010.

The Florida State Fire Marshal’s Office believes Alexander torched the home that was in foreclosure.

“The fire obviously started with human intervention,” Lt. Kevin Fiedor with the State Fire Marshal’s Office said. Damage to the brick home was estimated at about $65,000. The home had no power or gas at the time of the blaze.

Alexander is due back in court for trial in July.

The Molino, Cantonment, McDavid, Century, Walnut Hill and Beulah stations of Escambia Fire Rescue worked for hours to fully extinguish the blaze.

He was still living there, he probably needed a hot meal and started a fire to cook it. The house is the obviously the place to cook it.

ALSO I don’t want to hear he isn’t ALL THERE. What does that mean
anyway that we should just leave him out there to do whatever every
time he goes off the deep end? I don’t think so! WE have to do what
WE have to do, what if some NUT hurts my child. THEN I will sue
the COURTS and JUDGES for not sending him where he needs to be, on
    this you may count.

It seems there is no end to what bad people will do. How many of us know
people who have burned down their homes lately? How many of us have
heard from friends of people in THIER neighborhoods who have done the
same, either from frustration, anger, revenge, or what THEY deem is justice.

What is left is for US the WORKING CLASS, is to FOOT the bill for the
high costs of everything that it will entail because of THEIR CRIME and
    THEIR TRIAL AND INCARCERATION.

THESE PEOPLE SEEM TO THINK THAT WE DON’T HAVE PROBLEMS OF
OUR OWN, LIKE WHEN WE FILL UP AT THE PUMP AND THE BILL IS
$75.00 FOR ONE TANK OF GAS. OUR INSURANCE BILLS BECAUSE
THEY DON’T PAY AND SOMEONE HAS TO PICK UP THE SLACK, ETC.,
    ETC., ETC,.

I HOPE THEY ARE SHOWN NO MERCY AND JUSTICE IS SWIFT.
    I HAVE HAD ENOUGH!

THIS FELLOW ISN’T VERY SMART. ALL HE WOULD HAVE HAD TO DO TO PAY FOR THE HOUSE WAS TO TELL EVERYONE HE HAD CANCER. THE GOOD FOLKS HERE IN THIS AREA WOULD HAVE GONE ALL OUT FOR HIM. IT WORKED FOR THE LUKERS. (BAD PEOPLE THAT THEY ARE)
