    >>>Odd….I was in there yesterday asking them about them being sold and no-one in the store knew what I was talking about, including the manager. They said the store has not been sold and Northescambia doesn’t know what their talking about. ?!?

The manager is right when “they said the store has not been sold”. The story does not say the STORE has been sold. The story says the BUILDING has been sold.

Most chain stores — Advance Auto, Winn Dixie, Walgreens, etc — do not own their building. Investor/real estate companies build the buildings and lease them to the chain companies. One investment company bought it from a property company in Mobile.

I beleive the traffic count is off quite a bit.Several years ago Winn Dixie did a traffic count in front of The Country Bumpkin, the count seemed to be over 25k a day

It’s relatively new and next to what used to be the Minute Stop in Flomaton. Just a bit north of United Bank.
