You bet your lifesavers , this is about 4Hers of yesterday, today and tomorrow! That is why I plan to be vocal about the sale. It is more than rumor, even the extension office says so. who knows, back door deals may have already been made,IT IS NOT RUMOR that the center is for sale or that an offer has been made.
First and foremost is to PARTICIPATE in all 4H activities, Livestock or otherwise. It is the best youth development program available, by far! While I believe that the livestock show should be at the Pensacola Interstate fair and do knot know why it was seperated, there is nothing wrong with where it is being held Kiwanas, and other Pensacola organizations used to help 4Hers obtain and raise livestock to show, some proceeds were returned for the purchase of livestock the next year. Hope that program is still going on. Responsibility and character is a side effect of these livestock programs, Maximum county wide support is needed for these programs! I showed livestock @ Pensacola, Atmore, Chipley/Marianna, Tallahassee and Tampa. Had the Grand Champion Steer in Pensacola,1959@ 9years old! was a member of the winningest livestock judging team @ Tampa several years– Escambia County, THANKS J. Lowell Loadholtz! won trips as the state Swine Award winner to National Competition in Chicago, Escambia County had 13 delegates out of the 20 or 30 state delegates! again thanks Lowell and Edwina. I was runner up for State AG achievement award, the winner dropped out, so I went to Camp Miniwanca,Danforth Leadership Camp in Stoney Lake Michigan, where I met my Wife. My one and only goal is that the facility is kept for the future youth of Escambia County and that some watered down 20 acre facility with little to offer is not built to appease the mass. Matt Langley Bell loved 4H and donated the facility for youth of Escambia. My goal is and will be to maintain that legacy!!
If I was in a financial position to do so I would spend it all to preserve that property! It is a great place to help the youth of Escambia County. Dont let those that want to sell use the excuse that it is not being used enough to keep it!
Get involved and support all activities, sponsor activities there, If the foundation or the Extension office, trys to deny its use PRESS HARDER! MOVE FOWARD
Let Matt Langley Bells Legacy move foward !
That is ALL I WANT
This is about the CHILDREN of the community. Leave it at that. Take time to FORGET about the RUMORS that are going around, and come out to the facility and support the kids.
If it is sold that just means more concrete and no fun anymore. What a waste of a lovely facility, meant to be enjoyed by people!
If it was donated as an assigned facility, how can they sell it for commercial use?
Is that right?
This is your chance to support our youth in this county! COME OUT TO THE SALE AND BID ON YOU A STEER, HOG. BEST OPPTURNITY TO GET SOME
QUALITY MEAT AT REASONABLE PRICE. IF YOUVE NEVER TRIED IT BEFORE LET THIS BE THE FIRST YOU WILL NEVER REGRATE IT. PEOPLE ON THE SHOW GROUND CAN HELP YOU GET THEM TO THE PACKING PLANT AND MORE INFORMATION YOU NEED.
Make this a special event. Support it and attend/participate if possible. May be your last event at this GREAT facility. Some wnnt to sell it ? give it away to Navy Federal at about half its real value. for what reason? If sold will there really be another facility or just a small showing of a complex? HELP KEEP WHAT MATT LANGLEY BELL DONATED!
