Photos: ‘The Sky Was Boiling’

March 10, 2011

Professional storm chaser Jim Edds of Pensacola captured these unique images of Wednesday’s storms as they moved across Pensacola Bay.

“The sky was boiling,” is how Edds described what he saw.

Edds’ storm chasing footage has been aired on the National Geographic Channel, The Weather Channel, the Travel Channel and more. For more photos of the Pensacola storm, click here.

That’s great that he was brave enough to take those awsome pics!! I was outside when the bad clouds first started rolling in and it looked like the sky was going to reach down and get me! LOL It was the thickest 3d lookin-est clouds i’ve ever seen in my life! And dark too, It looked like night time outside! Whew I hope we dont have another storm day like that ever! Today is absoutly beautiful though, ‘cept for the wind being so cold, but I’ll take that any day versus what happend yesterday!
