Flash Flood Watch: Heavy Rain, Severe Storms Possible

Rain showers are forecast to begin tonight, with stronger storms and heavy rain expected into Wednesday morning. A flash flood watch is in effect for the entire area from Wednesday morning through Wednesday afternoon.

Rainfall totals are forecast to be 2-3 inches, with some locations receiving 5-7 inches of rain.

  • Tonight…Cloudy. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms in the evening…then numerous thunderstorms and showers after midnight. Some thunderstorms may be severe with heavy rainfall after midnight. Lows in the lower 60s. Southeast winds 15 to 20 mph. Chance of precipitation 70 percent.
  • Wednesday…Widespread thunderstorms and showers. Some thunderstorms may be severe with heavy rainfall. Highs in the mid 70s. South winds 15 to 20 mph. Chance of precipitation near 100 percent.
  • Wednesday Night…Cooler. Mostly cloudy in the evening becoming partly cloudy. Isolated showers and thunderstorms in the evening. Lows in the mid 40s. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation 20 percent.
  • Thursday…Cooler…sunny. Highs in the mid 60s. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph.
  • Thursday Night…Colder. Mostly clear. Lows in the mid 30s. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph.
  • Friday…Sunny. Highs in the mid 60s.
  • Friday Night…Mostly clear. Lows in the upper 30s.
