Funeral Services Tuesday For Tate Freshman

Funeral services will be held Tuesday for Gabriel “Gabe” Kent Carter, the 15-year Tate High School student who collapsed and died Thursday.
The funeral will be at noon Tuesday at the St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church in Cantonment. Visitation was held Monday night at Faith Chapel North Funeral Home in Cantonment.
Gabe began experiencing a seizure in a classroom and collapsed Thursday. The freshman was transported from the school by LifeFlight to West Florida Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Grief counselors were made available at the school Thursday and Friday for Tate students.

Gabe we had a couple of car washes for you and helped and helped you out alot but I could never repay the kindness you gave me even after washing how many cars your’e still my friend and no matter what I will never forget you by the way Gabe ………. Nuk Nuk;)

I did not know Gabe, but I am so sorry to hear of such a tragic thing; may the good lord above give this child’s family, friends and loved ones, the strength to get through this tragic loss. God Bless… ♥
When you’re old as I am, how many of us would trade places with Gabe and never look back? I would be the first. Its tough when it should be us and not children.

I saw where there was a crowd having a car wash fundraiser for Gabe’s family yesterday. I was in a huge rush for a scheduled appointment, but was glad to see cars lined up to help out (even a big semi truck!)
