Crabtree Church Road Bridge Closed
March 25, 2011
The bridge over Alligator Creek on Crabtree Church Road in Molino has been closed for emergency repairs.
Advance decay was found in a support piling during a routine inspection Thursday, according to Sonya Daniel, Escambia County public information manager. The bridge was closed late Thursday afternoon and is expected to remain closed through Friday, April 8.
The bridge on Crabtree Church Road is about halfway between Sunshine Hill Road and Highway 99. The recommended east/west detour is Molino Road between Highway 99 and Sunshine Hill Road.

>>at some point I turn left onto what would take you out to Champion paper mill……Is this that road???
No. From Highway 99, Crabtree Church runs east to Sunshine Hill Road and then out to Highway 97 at the Tom Thumb.
I dont know creeks and such when I take roads….I usually turn at Walnut Hill Farm supply and then make a left after the tracks then go….and go….and at some point I turn left onto what would take you out to Champion paper mill……Is this that road??? Going that way this afternoon……
To the men that put up the sign: Thank you for putting up a big sign And for being so amiable.
I don’t think we can fix all the roads without raising taxes…and that’s something most people aren’t in favor of around these areas.
Come fix all the “potholes” on Sunshine Hill from Crabtree to Hiway 97(Atmore Cut-off as I know it) Every1 including big trucks use this as a cut off…
Advanced Decay?
That doesn’t happen overnight !
How often are “routine inspections”?
