U.S. Marshals Nab Suspect Hiding In Car Trunk

February 23, 2011

The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested a Pensacola man yesterday after they found him hiding in the trunk of a car.

Henry Dewayne Watson was wanted by the U.S. Marshals in Pensacola on a federal warrant for failure to appear on a convicted felon in possession of a firearm charge. Watson also has a Santa Rosa County warrant for aggravated stalking.

The U.S. Marshals along with the ATF had been working together on Watson’s capture for two weeks when they finally caught a break last Friday when they discovered a house where Watson may be hiding out. After hours of surveillance, Watson was finally spotted walking near that home on the 200 Block of Craft Street just north of 9 Mile Road in Pensacola around 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Watson then disappeared and task force officers weren’t sure if he actually went into that house. About two hours later a vehicle driven by an unidentified woman drove up to the house, entered the garage momentarily then emerged and took off down the road.

Task Force Officers assisted by the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office Gang Unit pulled the car over not far away as it pulled into a fast food restaurant. After the driver was asked to exit the car; Task Force Officers found what appeared to be an empty car.

However, they were suspicious and used the remote to open the trunk where they found the 32-year old Watson hiding. Watson was arrested without further incident and booked into the Escambia County Jail and will see a federal magistrate judge on Wednesday. There are also additional warrants pending in Santa Rosa County. On the federal charges alone he is most likely facing a minimum of fifteen years behind bars.

If you guys will remembr back about a year ago there was a guy in Seattle who walked in a coffee shop and executed 4 police officers and went on the run. They finally cught him and had a shoot out with him of which he did not win. However, point being he had people hiding him as well. It is my understanding that the people who were helping him was apprehended and brought to trial. I think it was 3 or 4 of them who helped and they were all convicted and are doing time in prision. This is exactly what should happen here. On the other hand the LEO’s may be working her for information on some things you never know.

They probably did’nt arrest the woman because she most likely has 3 or 4 state sponsored spawn at home that noone is willing to foster. She sure knows how to pickem.

I don’t know all the specifics of the case but she could be charged with aiding a known fugtive. They could have gotten a warrant for her arrest after they got “the big fish” in custody.

If we start locking up the ones who assist the fugitives(who are criminals too) maybe they would not be on the streets for so long. The Lundsford girl in Mimosa, Florida might still be alive if her killer’s sister had not lied to police about knowing where he was. She should fry too. I say arrest them all. I will never beleive this woman thinks that this guy just prefers to ride in the trunk. She is a big part of the crime that he commits.

OMG, a stalker with a gun!!! That’s all the victim, and public needs! Stalking already proves he’s dangerous!!

    REGARDING:
“if she was not arrested why not?”

Plenty of time for that later.

i think it is called aiding and abetting. good question if she was not arrested why not? Anyone out there that can tell me why she wasn’t charged? How many of us would let a person get into our trunk and then drive off with them? Don’t think if she used the excuse she didn’t know he was a wanted felon would fly with most people.

She should have been arrested also for aiding a felon. Was she not??
