Two Escambia Men Facing Up To Life In Prison For Armed Robberies

State Attorney Bill Eddins has announced that two Escambia County men face maximum sentences of life in prison after being convicted on armed robbery charges for two separate crimes.
Dymielle Chandler, 19, was convicted by an Escambia County jury last week of robbery with a weapon, burglary of conveyance armed with explosives or deadly weapon, and aggravated battery with great bodily harm.
On January 27, 2010, Chandler was waiting inside the victim’s pizza delivery truck when he robbed her with a knife to her throat then fled on foot. Chandler was located by the Escambia County K-9 Unit hiding under a house which was located directly behind the parking lot where the victim’s car was parked. Also, the victim’s blood was found on the jacket that Chandler was wearing when he was apprehended, according to the State Attorney’s Office.
Judge Joel Boles scheduled sentencing for May 19, 2011. Chandler faces a maximum sentence of life in prison.
Kadeem Phillips, 19, was convicted by an Escambia County Jury of robbery with a firearm.
On January 20, 2010, Nakeil Johnson was walking down Jackson Street when Phillips approached him, pointed a gun at him and demanded money. Because Johnson had no money, Phillips forced him to turn over his wedding ring, according to the State Attorney’s Office.
Judge Michael Allen scheduled sentencing for March 25, 2011. Phillips faces a maximum of life in state prison with a 10-year minimum mandatory.

When you stop and think about it the taking of the mans wedding ring is one of the most personal things that could be done to the victim.
Not meaning any pun or jest, but, a life is a terrible thing to waist. Still, we cannot have these young malefactors on the streets with our children. It is too clear to me the direction that they are going. I don’t want me or mine to be in their path.
One of the victims was a modestly paid hard worker. The other was a man to whom his wedding ring was the most valuable thing that he had. I relate to these people. I’ll bet you folks do too.
But I don’t agree what these 2 guys have done.They need to be captured and locked up for awhile with no freedom.They are danger to our society and they will do it again and again.I agree with u Jim

Horriffic we need jails and prisons like Sheriff Joe has out in Arizona. No heat no air and are housed in tents inside compounds. It get up to 120 degrees in those tents in the summer time. They feed them just basics and on have 2 tv channels for them to watch. He says he don’t have many who are in a hurry to come back and visit him. Can’t imagine why huh. LOL! Maybe it’s time for others to adopt this program and see how well it works for them.

The Correctional officers would get in trouble doing what you suggest because of the “inmate rights”. but one consulation prize I’ll give you, the jail is not airconditioned except in the offices were the officers work out of.

I have seen plenty of people here who have burned down their homes
trying to stay warm. If we won’t pay for theirs, why the heck are we paying

This is not a crime that only one race commits! It’s a crime that STUPID people commit! Race has nothing to do with the crimes people commit! Stupidity does!! Just like the ignorant things that comes out of people’s mouths. It’s not because they are black, white, or orange. It’s because they are stupid!!
It has become an ugly world out there. Be ware at all times for people like this are walking the streets just looking for a victim. What the heck were these two thinking. A man who had no money and a pizza girl who probably did not have over 20 or 30 dollars. And that is worth going to prison over for life. About all i can say for those two is dumb and dumber! Enjoy your new housing facility and your new roomate for life. And your new free meals and medical and dental program for you will be paying for the rest of your life for being that dumb.

William already answered the age question this time but just for future information, once you look them up on the clerk’s website, you can click on one of their charges and bring up information including Date Of Birth (05/23/1991) for example or (02/25/1991) for the other example.

@ horrific- Yes a white guy would get the same sentence. The difference is that it wouldnt be all over the news with a racism tag! And how many times have you read on here about white kids robbing pizza delivery girls with a knife to her throat? I NEVER have. It shows what type of person these kids were. Yes they are black and YES they dang sure deserve to be locked away for the rest of their lives!

It’s sad when we can’t work, make a honest living, shop for our family, carry our kids to school or even relax in our private homes without wondering about thugs like this. So young people say, yes that’s true so they become someone sweetheart for a while and maybe just maybe they will ware a dress for a while instead of just exposing there dirty laundry.
