Hi All, I am Laurie’s brother in San Diego, And I thank you for your kind words and thoughts, After the fire I spoke with her only once and we had made plans for me to drive my 30′ motorhome out there so that she could live in it until she could get another moblehome setup on her property, But on March 10, 2011 I recieved a call from her step daughter that my sister Laurie had passed away,
I thank you for all your prayers.

How sad that the elderly have to resort to such means to stay warm.
We are seeing far too much of this type of thing this winter.
Please tell all your loved ones to use electric blankets for their beds
instead of fires and electric heaters. It is cheaper and SAFER.
Maybe all the churches could give the advice every fall instead of
    seeing this every year.

Maybe everyone could donate to their churches every year one electric
blanket apiece. Then the church could give them out to the most needy in private.
