Molino Neighborhood Association Forming
February 9, 2011
Residents of Molino are coming together to form a neighborhood association.
The association’s goals will include creating a crime watch, providing help to those in need and to bring neighbors, businesses and clergy together, according to organizers.
The meeting with David Craig of the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office is scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday at the Barrineau Park Community Center on Barrineau Park School Road. For more information, call (850) 587-2524.

barrineau park is a part of molino to our zipcode is 32577 why over the nic picking anyways ,,,we need to watch everybodys back
OK..No not all peps on the “other side of 29″ are bad guys..I apologize! But you have to admit..there are more crimes over the railroad tracks…Been out here 20 yrs..I dont know of a road in Barrineau Park that the crack dealers run out to your car..which I’m thankful for! (I may be wrong) If its all about stopping crime does it really matter where ithe meeting is held?? Maybe since the speaker is “just a rep” of the the Sherrif’s Dept” feels safer @the location. As for church on Sunday “bama54″ I mite not be there but I will be @ this meeting!
To Mary and FYI: Both of you stated my point much better than I. If Barrineau Park want to form a group of neighborhood watch that is fine, but don’t call it Molino!! Unless you know the people in old Molino, then don’t point fingers as to who is bad and who is good. I just felt if you’re going to represent Molino then don’t go to Barrineau Park to do it.
Now Mary I expect to see you on the front row of church this Sunday.
@ MARY! just letting you know that not ALL people on the official side of Molino are the bad guys! I happen to live on that side and I’m far from being one of the “bad guys”. So instead of wording it that way, why dont you just say “i would rather go to Barrineau Park because IM TO GOOD to go to the official Molino side”
Is this for the Molino and Barrineau Park area? I live kinda in the middle…. with a 32533 zip
I’m not trying to say anything against it, it’s a great idea.
I’m just saying be sure you don’t let the foxes RUN the hen house.
WATCH FOR THEM. DON’T BE STUPID.
@ Bama54…I like the idea of it being @ Barrineau Park Community Center..I dont want to go to the “official side of Molino”…thats where the bad guyz are. When I have to give my address, I have to write Molino 32577….not Barrineau Park 325??? The point is they are trying!
We formed a neighborhood watch in Knollwood a while back. The ECSO was very helpful, and we have regular patrols… the Civilian Law Enforcement courses were great, and the support has been very helpful.
If you don’t like the idea, or just don’t want to be involved at least don’t speak against it. Give it a try, or at least hope your neighbors will do their part to help keep you from being a victim.
And David Craig is just a pr guy, not even a deputy.
If this is to be a Molino neighborhood association forming, then why are they meeting in Barrineau Park area? Why not hold the meeting in the old downtown Molino. Better yet, hold in one of the churches on hwy 29 in the Molino area. I can’t not for the life of me figure out why you hold a meeting in one place to represent another place. That just like holding a meeting in Pensacola to form a association in Barrineau Park. I sure you will have a lot of individuals from the Molino east of 95A show up. Go Figure!!
I will be there!!!!
In response to dick tracy:
There is only a net gain of ONE deputy in Molino since the Sheriff announced he would add more deputies. The other extra deputies have been sent back to town.
I would like to go and be part of neighborhood watch, but everywhere I go
my car is vandalized because I reported someone. I am home and could
help but that won’t be happening. I just hope the creeps of this
town who are vandalizing me and all the other low life things they do and keeping a low profile ( and think everyone
in this town will not know) are CAUGHT.
It’s time the whole town knows who you really are. I also hope the bad
guys are not running the show. Only time will tell. We will know right away
if this town starts to do a turn around or if……..the fix is still in.
According to Morgan, last year, we are supposed to be getting more deputies up here. Will the new deputies attend?
