Wow, As an 18 year old I looked up to this guy back on the USS Eisenhower in 97. Googling to see how people were doing so many years later. Really sad as I would of never guessed he’d be capable of such a thing. Sad.

I served with Lonnie during Shield//Storm/Gulf1. He lived in a fantasy world of Dungeons and Dragons. Always disappeared in port leading me to wonder wth he was doing?? Now I think I know.

I am in shock. I am sooo sorry for this little one and her family. Lonnie is my cousin. I have not seen him in prob over 35 yrs. On occasion I try to find family and friends I have not seen for a long time. This is what I found when searching LonLee yesterday. I just cannot believe it. I had a hard time sleeping last night. My heart goes out to this little girl (and her family). I’m just sick about it. As for Lonnie, shame on you!

What is sad is that the child he molested was his girlfriends child. She was under 6 years at the time.

I am in shock. I grew up with Lonnie. I have not seen him in over 20 years. I am his step sister and an ex Navy Police officer. I feel for the victoms. Growing up he never showed any signs of any devencey. We grew up in a very disfuctional family, but now a days, who is not. To my knollage he was not sexualy assalted as a child only physical. But so was I and would never even think of harming a child so I am glad he is now in a place where he can do no further harm.

A few comments about this individual.

I served with him in the US Navy. I am currently retired and a 9-11 survivor from the Pentagon… I believe he was a retired vet as well. To me this is a personal blow as he was a friend and co-worker. However regardless of his service to our nation, he has now become a disgrace to it. Life is Life, however for his sake I pray his stay will be a brief one if anyone gets my meaning…

LIFE is too long! Great job getting him off the streets, but could we just go ahead and use the needle if we are sure “beyond a shadow of doubt” that he is guilty..

CM- Life in Fla prison means life. There is no parole in Florida anymore for crimes committed after 1994(about that year). Also, for all other crimes an inmate must serve at least 85% of their sentence in actual prison. The other 15% is on supervised release.

Sorry to say that if that were my child, he would have never made it into the hands of law enforcement. They would probably have been taking me to jail instead.

As a female who raped at age 5 by a family member, please, please, please gte that child serious ongoing therapy. I am 55 years old and stilll dealing with the effects of my abuse as “back in those days”, therapy didn’t exist and evryone kept it “hush hush.” God be with that litle one who has had her childhod robbed.

CM- the parents probably didn’t figure it out in 4 months for the same reason thousands of parents don’t figure it out for months / years / ever. A friend of the family, the child trusts him and can’t imagine that the “friend” will do anything bad, even if it feels that way. Good ol’ Rippy always there to help out the family and great with the kids…..

I hope the family gets counseling – never believe it won’t matter because of the young age of the child. It matters.

It is a shame that this has to happen…I thank my GOD that he has protected me from satan..he is the only one smiling now. Now just pray for the child…its not his fault…now this dude can be someones “girlfriend ” in prison…hope he gets use to it.
    have a nice life dude

My heart breaks for the victim, and the family of the victim. I will pray for their healing from the abuse of this odious fellow.

I hope that the four life sentences are consecutive and not concurrent, so that the felon can contemplate the horror of his crimes, and repent of them in due course. But I doubt that we should be so fortunate as that.

It is the Innocent among us that deserve our greatest protection from depraved men such as this.

    Good Lord protect the Innocent.

In a situation like this the individual should get a punishment worse than this. It did not say ” without chance of parole” so after a period in prison he will be eligible to get out and do this agian. It should be mandatory to get the chair in these cases!!!

Life in prison doesn’t mean life so why do they say life?
The jails & prisons are overcrowded so they let them out in short time frames, when our military has to live in tents in foreign lands away from Families & never know if their lives will be given in the next minute. It makes me angry that prisoners have it so easy, while our military & their families have it so hard.
Any more info to help understand why the parents didn’t know in 4 months time?

Thank you FL. It is about time these people are taken off the streets for good. Now if Esc. AL would do the same. But I forget so easily that the laws here dont protect the children. GREAT JOB FL!
