This is a bad wreck. I join all the others in hoping James is ok. I do not see the first negitive comment. I may be missing something , but all these comments seem pretty nice to me. I would even go so far as the thank the people of North Escambia for their prayers and concern. I am also sorry for your loss. Ms. Broxson, you and Susan need to get back in your medicatons. Think positive.

My thoughts and prayers go out to this mans family. I too have been were they are almost 2 years ago. My daughter was killed at 29 and 9/12 mile road. it was a tragedy, and we still miss her everyday. They said she wasnt wearing a seat belt ,but according to hwy. patrol report veciele flipped 9 times she didnt come out until the 7th. Something kept her there all that time. So our family also had to listen to some terrible comments at that time. It doesnt matter if she was wearing one or not shes gone and the last the a family needs to hear at a terrible time. All I have to say is watch what u say u never know when it will be you. I surely didnt think when my 23 year old left for school that morning she would never come home. So once again God bless the family my prayers are with u. And for those of u that cant ever be nice get a life.

These comments are always a pick-me-up. We go from well wishes to the poor guy in the wreck to the definition of elderly…plus debate in a matter of 8 or 10 comments. Gotta luv it!!

Thank you so much for the information. When do I start getting the senior discount? This story is about the man who had an accident. I hope and pray, as I am sure you all do, that all works out for the best. That is a bad looking scene.
@ Susan, It is time to take your pill.

Thank you William, for educating us on the definition of “elderly. ” I have never heard that before, but I sure and glad I am not ignorant of that anymore. I may even be inspired to make myself start back walking again, now that I know I am NOT elderly like some think. HA! I am young and lovely inside, and now I feel I have more years left than I did before I read your comment.

Praying TO GOD, for this man and his family and those caring for him.

Amen William.. well said. It doesnt matter the age of the person, this man needs our prayers people. I cant believe all the negative comments that is always posted when tragedy happens. Life is way too short for all that. Those talking all that smack ought to ashamed. You will be held accountable one day. My prayers are for speedy recovery for James and also for his family.

    >>At what age does elderly begin – just wondering? Thanks.

The State of Florida legally defines elderly as 60 or older who suffers “from the infirmities of aging…”. It is age plus certain conditions, not just age. Age 65 plus certain conditions is probably more accepted nationwide.

Not everyone 60, 70 or even 90 would be elderly.

The gentleman in this accident was identified by first responders as being elderly, thus our use of the word “elderly” in the story earlier today. (And we are not going to further discuss this gentleman’s specific health, so don’t bother with the comment button.)

    Nope, I’m 64 & I don’t “feel” elderly.
God bless this man & his family and pray he fully recovers.

I’m with me. Nowadays, 65 don’t look so dog gone elderly. I do wish the best for this “elderly” gentleman.
