Woman Sentenced For Trying To Smuggle Pot Into Century Prison
January 13, 2011
An Alabama woman has been sentenced to probation for trying to sneak drugs into Century Correctional Institution.
Sandra Eloise Tompkins, 36, of Greenville, Ala., pleaded no contest to charges of possession of marijuana and felony introduction of contraband into a state facility. She was sentenced to 18 months probation, including 25 hours of community service.
A CCI K-9 alerted to the presence of drugs in Tompkins’ car in the prison parking lot while she was inside for visitation during October 2010. She was escorted back to her vehicle where she signed a search consent.
Inside Tompkins’ car, prison officials “found personal lubrication, plastic wrap and a torn condom in the car”, according to an Escambia County Sheriff’s Office arrest report. Tompkins told deputies that she had a small amount of marijuana hidden internally, and she later removed the marijuana from her person at the county jail, according to the report.

the judge is on crack you thank
Some people…not sure who which is worse…the fact that she was trying to sneak the POT into the jail, the fact that someone would use it after that…or the ignorance of the judge for only providing probation. They call kind of reflect what is wrong with society.
unbelievable
Does the judge who slapped her hands do drugs or something? Why would
anyone give her probation when drugs are costing our loved ones lives?
Who was this judge and why is he still on the bench?
25 hours of community service. That isn’t even one week.
Why bother Judge.
They should have told her her sentence is to clean up the other side of town
and that her sentence wasn’t over till the whole area was cleaned up and
that, “We The People”. would decide when she had done enough.
If we can’t house them, they should at least have bigger sentences.
There is more than one way to skin a cat.

Probation is not a slap on the wrist.
If she had gotten jail time, the complaint would be about supporting criminals in jail for non-violent crimes.
Gross , No wonder the dog smelled it
And now you wonder why we can’t stop the influx of drugs and contraband into prison. A broken Judicial system. Maybe Federal charges for transporting drugs across state lines?
Wow are you sure she is not from Florida ???
Oh boy…probation. Hope she learned her lesson.
..I can’t believe a person can do a crime – this is a crime – and not go to jail ..the reason this country is so full of creeps like this is that they are running the streets and getting their “hands slapped” instead of real punishment … whaddaya ?
Why didn’t she get prison time?
She could have spent time with the
dope she was smuggling dope to !
grossssssssss….she should be put in the pen for that.people are sick
Eeewww!
