Voncile Reid Dobbins

Mrs. Voncile Reid Dobbins, 78, passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2011, in Flomaton..

Mrs. Dobbins was a native of Poplar Dell and a resident of Flomaton since 1976. She was a member of the Catawba Springs Baptist Church where she was a very active church worker, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #302, in Myrtle Grove and a member of the Samaritan’s Purse Organization. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert “Herb” Dobbins and her parents, William Millard and Lillian Reid.

She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Edwards of Canyon Lake, TX and Jean Dobbins of Atlanta, GA; two brothers, Wilford “Snookie” and Becky Reid of Holt, FL and Gilbert and Bobbi Reid of Milton, FL; a sister, Jackie and Jimmy Maness of Gulf Breeze; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 12, 2011,at 10 a.m. at Petty- Eastside Chapel Funeral Home in Atmore with the Rev. Jerry Keese and the Rev. Dexter Truesdell officiating.

Burial will follow at Byrneville Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 11, 2010, between 6-9 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be members of her church.
