Santa Rosa Sheriff’s Office Seeks Absconded Fugitive

January 14, 2011

Santa Rosa Sheriff’s investigators are searching for fugitive that absconded from a court ordered GPS monitoring program.

Donald Ray Boone, Jr., cut his ankle monitor off at his Milton residence. Deputies received the alarm and responded to his home within a few minutes to find Boone gone and the ankle monitor inside the residence with the strap cut.

On January 4, Boone was ordered to wear the GPS monitor for a 60 day house arrest for a probation violation related to a narcotics charge. He currently has active warrants for criminal mischief for harming the equipment, and a conditional release violation for his absconding from the program.

Anyone with information concerning the whereabouts of Donald Ray Boone, Jr. is asked to contact the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office at (850) 983-1190, or Crime Stoppers at (850) 437-STOP.

I may be way off but I see a face like that and I think, what a waste. Clean him up a tad and he’d be a very good looking man. Yet, he’s thrown his life away because of stupid drugs.
I hate to see things like this. Of course it’s his fault, I’m nowhere near blaming anyone for his condition or predicaments, but it’s just a sad shame to see what drugs do to people.

    REGARDING:
    “How hard could it be?“

It could have cut into his business.

If he were buying and selling illegal substances, it would indicate where the sales were taking place. Like I’ve said before, I favor not only GPS for convicted felons but cameras and microphones monitoring them the entire time. (Some parts would be gross for the monitors to endure, but surely you could find somebody willing to watch.) That would really dissuade potential criminal transactions–and might lead to some interesting You Tube clips, especially if they were released via streaming video to the public under freedom of information.

David for souped-up monitoring of convicts
