Fire Departments Respond To Former Grocery Advantage
January 15, 2011
Fire stations from across the area were dispatched to the former Grocery Advantage in Molino Saturday evening.
Sparks were reported to be coming from a heating unit about 5:25 p.m., but firefighters reported the heater unit checked out with no problems. The burning smell was determined to be coming from a light ballast inside the building. No fire and no damage was reported.
The former grocery store is located on Highway 29 at Molino Road.

they shouldnt tear it down just fix it up….i would be sad that store has been there since before i was born
It is definately an eye sore for the Molino area. Mary is right, clean the place up or tear it down. It’s an old building that needs a facelift BAD!!!!!!!
For crying out loud. Leave the owners alone. Wait until you get old and have a hard time keeping up your place and then you can talk. Quit meddling in others business.
a light ballast has a problem and from that we determine the owner is a slum lord?
way to go Watson, old chap
Clean them up and update wiring before something bad happens and someone gets hurt. Thats the problem with leaving OLD buildings.
I can’t believe they had the nerve to rent something like that. That just makes them a slum lord.
The owners need to figure out what to do w/that building! it looks horrible!
