Charges Dropped Against Man Charged With Cutting Outside Bar
January 7, 2011
All charges have against an Atmore man charged with a cutting last year outside of a Davisville bar.
Joshua Wayne Stuckey, now 34, was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon after the incident about 12:30 the morning of January 31, 2010, outside of the Grey Goose on Highway 97 just south of the Alabama state line.
Escambia County (Fla.) deputies were dispatched at 12:48 that morning to Atmore Community Hospital in reference to a stabbing. The victim, a 34-year old male, told deputies that he and his wife decided to go to the Grey Goose after leaving the Atmore casino. Inside the bar, the victim saw his ex-girlfriend and her husband, Joshua Wayne Stuckey, and he told deputies he spoke to her.
That incident allegedly led to a cutting outside the bar. According the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office report on the incident, the victim suffered a 9-centimeter long and 4-centimeter deep cut to his abdomen.

this is for NONE blood on jeans and a knife in your pocket that goes for any working southern man i mean you cut your finger you wipe it on your jeans and who dont carry a pocket knife lord have mercy i guess now we should lock alot more people up cause we go out and work and get small amounts of blood on our jeans and we have knives and i think everyone has been in a bar a time or two
I want to say thanks to all the nice comments…….
Its funny how the so called victim has not replied to any of this. When he could’nt stay off of the page when they said he cut him………….. If you cant use a knife stay out of the kitchen!
congrats josh… guy cut himself for nothing….
Well the truth comes out. Congrats Josh. You aint got your James Bond boots on do you?
justin, I agree….the guy who they say now didn’t do it, but had a knife and what appeared to be blood on his pants…this doesn’t make any sense, but as long as people hang out in bars, this kind of thing is gonna happen
So…Let me see if I am getting this or not…Is he (the victim) now saying he does not know who it was that stabbed him? This does not make since to me. How do you not know who it was that stabbed you?
I am so glad this is over for the entire family… They have fought this accusation since it was first told and I hate this lie took a whole year to go away! And you are right JRES ~ none of the people that were bad mouthing Josh and the family will never apologize for the hateful things they said!
I knew Josh was innocent, he’s a great guy. funny none of the people who had bad things to say about Josh are apoligizing to him today!
I think the accuser should have to pay!!! sounds as if he fabricated the whole story at Josh’s expense.
GO JOSH !!!
Confused…the bar you are talking about was the Wagon Wheel and yes there was a house built half in Florida and half in Alabama…Oh for those Wagon Wheel Charburgers again.
@ Confused The old bar was the State Line Bar and it has always been in Florida. The Greygoose is also in Florida. I am not sure which house that you are talking about but lets just say it was in Florida too!!!
The victim is a person that lives for trouble so it could have been anyone but it was not Josh. I think that this so called victim should have to pay for lying to the authorities saying that it was Josh. If anyone was a victim it was Josh and his family for having to go through all of this. Thank God it is now over for him and so glad that they found him innocent which he was from the start!!!
I know this man and he didnt do this thats why charges were dropped. Josh is a funny outgoing person and a great guy. I am so glad this is over for him and his family. The truth always comes out in the end. Just everyone needs to know he was INNOCENT and thats why charges were dismissed and dropped.
soooo, which one was the victim and which one was stabbed??? And, I thought the Grey Goose was just across on the Alabama side. When I was young, there was a bar there and it was on the Alabama side, then there was a house closer to the ditch on the south side, half of it was in Alabama and half was in Florida~
that’s what we were told, the girl rode our Florida school bus. Guess they moved the state line…LOL!
So glad Josh is a great guy and friend!!!
