Wanted Man Hits Deputy’s Cruiser

Charges are pending against a Pensacola man after a Tuesday night wreck with an Escambia County Sheriff’s Office deputy.

The Florida Highway Patrol said Raymond Qualls, 44, was traveling east on Lillian Highway approachong 50th Avenue when he attempted to turn across the path of a marked Escambia County Sheriff’s Office cruiser driven by Brandon Barnhill, 36.

Qualls and Barnhill both suffered minor injuries in the crash.

Charges are pending against Qualls, who had a suspended driver’s license and pending warrants for his arrest, according to the FHP.

    Hey, with the no 10-100 policy, i think that is how the proactive officers of the SO, and maybe the TAC unit are going to be successful catching the bad guys! I heard two of them today on the radio have to not chase because of this new policy. Look at the history, places like Orlando and Miami which used to have a no 10-100 policy changed their tune. (hopefully 10-100 is what i think it is)
    In keeping with Morgans principles, if we cannot keep them locked up, at least put a thorn in their side. (speaking of the problem citizens…) I trust the Tahoe totalled the guys car, so at least now he will have to find other transportation and not worry about his suspended DL.
