No Injuries In Hwy 97 Crash
December 27, 2010
There were no injuries in a single vehicle rollover accident on Highway 97 north of Walnut Hill this morning.
The driver of the pickup told first responders that he was northbound on Highway 97 when he fell asleep before striking a culvert and overturning. The truck came to rest on its side, blocking one lane of Highway 97 in the 6:50 a.m. crash.

You are truly blessed to come through this w/o any serious injury. Please take heed to all these post on here.
When I’m traveling I keep a cold wet wash rag in a sandwich bag to wipe my eyes when I start getting sleepy. It shocks the face and helps keep me alert. Glad this wasn’t worse than it was.
So thankful he is safe and alright. Accidents happen everyday, and so do miracles. God is, and always will be, in the miracle business.
Sometimes it doesn’t matter how much sleep one gets. This is one reason, I do not take long trips on the open highways anymore. Just the road noise lulls me to sleep most of the time, if I am driving alone, and it is almost impossible to fight it. Sleep apnea could be the problem. Once I did doze off, even though I had made many stops. It was in Georgia and the noise bumps on side of the road (like the ones before some stop signs here), woke me up just in time. They should be on all busy highways.
thanks so much!

This was not a company truck.
Does anyone know if this was a company truck? I have a friend that travels this way in the early morning hours. Im always telling him not to. I cant get ahold of him or any of his family. I know it sayd he is ok. Still worried though! The logo would have been on the doors?
This man was blessed the morning. I hope he learned his lesson and will pull off the road when sleepy. Or, get enough rest the night before.
This could have been tragic. The Lord was watching out over this blessed man!! Sleepy driving is just as deadly as drunk driving. So thankful nobody was injured.
