Ernest Ward Basketball Player, 13, Airlifted After Game Injury

A 13-year old Ernest Ward Middle School girls basketball player was airlifted to a Pensacola hospital after suffering an apparent head injury during a Thursday night game.
Brianna Parker was transported by LifeFlight to Sacred Heart Hospital. She was released from the hospital Thursday night after being treated for a concussion.

Good to see a happy ending to this story. Great job by all staff, nurses, and medical personnel. EXCEPT for the person in the white truck who decided to spend time cussing me out for asking her to move her truck to make room for nurse, fire truck, and ambulance.

Bre was non-responsive for over an hour. During which time everyone scrambling to help. Medic’s doing their jobs and showing such compassion. Parents and classmates trying to help any way possible.
Racing to the hospital to find Mrs. Perry waiting. Lisa and Jensen arrive as family begin to pour in. Bro. Tim there for us all. As the trauma center team is busy working on Bre. Chaplin Larry placing us all together in a room and keeping us posted on Bre’s rapid recovery. A multitude of prayer’s lifting our Bre up to the mighty hands of God….
Bre is now home resting with a major headache!!!
