Arrested: DNA Links Man To One Of Two Bodies Found In Woods

A Pensacola man was arrested Tuesday night in connection with the death of one of two women found dead in a wooded area off Nine Mile Road on November 29.
Joshua Wayne Douglas, 22, of Indian Oak Hills Place, is charged with the murder and sexual assault of Jamie Broxson, 25, of Pensacola. Forensic testing found DNA that linked Douglas to Broxson, according to Chris Welborn, spokesperson for the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office. Douglas has not yet been charged in connection with the death of Debra Jones, 19, whose badly decomposed body was also found in the wooded area.
Both bodies were found near a Gulf Power substation on Jernigan Road, just south of Nine Mile Road. Douglas’ home address, according to jail records, is directly across from the power substation.
Douglas is being held in the Escambia County Jail without bond. He was taken into custody without incident at about 6:30 p.m Tuesday at a Tom Thumb on East Nine Mile Road, not far from his home and the location where the bodies were found.

He deserved to die if they believe he did what he is accused of. He was found guilty but lucky for him his life was spared. The victims life sure wasn’t spared by him.

The fact that he has killed deer has nothing to do with him killing women. Everyone I know hunts. So the fact that you ADULTS are basically actings like children is a little embaressing for me to even say I’m from the same town are you guys.
However, the fact that he did have sex with one of the victums ALSO doesn’t mean that he KILLED her. Sorry to say this, but a lot of girls have had sex with him. Now I will admit that it is rather weird that the bodies were found near his home. But two bodies? Did no one see him put the bodies there? Did no one hear screams or anything when these two girls were murdered? Where was he when this girls were murdered? We have enough knowledge in science to figure out when they were murdered, even what time they were murdered. It could have been anyone that knew where that place was and that he already had relations with that woman. Some people are smart like that.
Those girls did not deserve this at all. But what happens when he gets convidicted and he really didn’t do it? Then there is a murderer on the loose in pensacola, where WE live. Is that something you really want to happen? All I’m saying is that it needs to be looked more into.

Wow i have known him since i was in 7th and i have always looked up to him..and this totally shocks me and it took me off gaurd when i got the call. i would have never guessed he would have done this but i guess thats what drugs do to you…..but i pray that the families of the victims the best and i pray for them and hope only the best for them

This is one scary looking man. God bless the families and help them get through these terrible crimes. I will be very surprised if he did not commit both crimes. Too similar in circumstances. Anyone knowing anything please call the authorities.

Just the look in his eyes says he’s crazy. I get a creepy feeling when I looked at his picture. He does look familiar though. I live close to 9 mile. I wonder if he worked in the area anywhere.
It’s not unusual that those sociopaths who murder get their starts with animal cruelty.The two incidents of shooting deer illegally at night (including fawns) shows not only a complete disrespect and disregard for our laws, but a lack of respect for life. The incidents with the deer are only the ones for which he got caught – how many other abberant behaviors did he engage in for which he wasn’t caught? Are ther also other bodies out there somewhere?
Wow… I am beyond in shock. I have known this kid since middle school. I would have never thought he would have been capable of something so horrific. Last summer I had had a little to much to drink and he offered to drive me to my home. I declined and found a girlfriend to drive my car. Its scary to think I almost got into a vehicle with him alone. I guess you never really know people. Those poor girls probably thought the same. He always has a smile in his face and never shows any anger. I guess that’s a sociopath for you. I pray for his family and above that those poor girls and their families.

Just my two cents–Thanks to the ACLU and Supreme Court NO CHAIR, just a possible date with Dr. Needle, and that’s not for sure. This young fellow is beyond dumb.
Apparently his Dna was already on record. I wonder if he was a suspect in an earlier murder case?
Well, in the original article, I said the Murderer was probably a Female that was in Jail with these Ladies. I said the Murderer lived near the Crime scene. I said the Murderer was dumber than dumb. Two out three was right.

It doesn’t really mater if they prove he Murdered Debra Jones, as long as he gets the death penalty for the Murder of Jamie Broxson. 1 and 1 is 2, and 2 and 2 is 4.
