Friends Turn To The Internet To Remember Hunter Fromm, 11

Friends of 11-year old Hunter Fromm turned to the Internet to remember and memorialize the Ransom Middle School student after his sudden accidental death on Friday.
Fromm struck his head on a tractor Friday morning after jumping from a horse at a relative’s Molino home. He was transported to a Pensacola hospital where he later died.
Within hours, word spread of Hunter’s death, with hundreds of Ransom students expressing their thoughts in the comments section of a NorthEscambia.com about the incident and on Hunter’s Facebook page.
“Hunter. I hope you can check FB (Facebook) in heaven!! I miss you like crazy,” one girl wrote on his Facebook page. “I wish I would have seen you more because now thats all I can think about. Your one loved kid and we will never forget you!!”
Students have created and posted memorial YouTube videos, and posted their memories about the boy with spiked hair. Ransom students even used Facebook over the weekend to organize spiked hair at the school Monday in his memory.
“You always made me laugh when I was around you. We will all miss how goofy you were and you’re smile and laugh. Rest in peace Hunter. You will always be in are hearts and in mine,” another student wrote.
Goofy. Funny. Smile. Laugh. Those words appear often. Friends also used the Internet to quietly express their grief over the sudden death of a classmate.
“This is horrible, I’ve been crying all night,” a person that identified themselves with just a frown wrote on NorthEscambia.com “God knew it was his time and he took him for a reason. If God put the family to this then God will bring the family through it.”
“We will all miss you coming down the halls of Ransom where everyone loved you alot,” another student wrote on NorthEscambia.com.

Friends say that the Fromm family did not have burial insurance for Hunter. Donations are being accepted at any Gulf Winds Federal Credit Union location to the Hunter Fromm Memorial Account. Also, a benefit concert is being organized for Saturday, January 15. Details will be posted here on NorthEscambia.com.

Wow , its been almost a year Hunter since you died, and not one day goes by that i dont think of you, me and kayla hung out the other day and all we did for 2 hours was talk about you and how happy you must be, shes having a hard time, becasue it was you and hers anniversary i was just on your facebook and reading all the posts and it made me cry, you where my bestfriend of all time, i love you so much, & your never forgotten <3

I never did know hunter but i saw this videos on youtube! sorry 2 bring that up but i did look him up and read his story! i am so sorry! but god pick him and god choses everybody 2 die at a young at old age! but i will pray for the family that had 2 loss him and again i am so sorry!

I did not know Hunter, but I was on youtube and saw a comment on the song ‘If I Die Young’ by The Band Perry regarding young Hunter’s death (sorry to bring it up!!! :/ ). Naturally I searched him, and this is one of the saddest stories I have ever heard of. It may not be appropriate for me to do this since I did not know him, but my condolences. I am the same age as he was, and I feel that it is necessary to say that I am deeply sorry for your loss. Hunter seems to have been a brilliant boy, and it would have been a privilege to meet him. I’m so sorry, and I will keep him in my prayers. May God bless him in Heaven and help his family and friends make it through this time. I’m sorry.

To Kayla,God did not take Hunter for a reason,and God did not need another angel.Long before we ever come to earth the Bible says we all have an appointed time to die.We never fully understand that especially when we lose a loved one.And losing a youngster must be the hardest of all.Hunter’s death did not catch God off guard or by suprise.We can trust that God will use every pain we bear to teach us about God’s love and mercy. To all of Hunters friends,be sure that God knows each and every one of you,he sees your pain and your tears.You may say you know God,but do you really? I didn’t know Hunter nor do I know his family. I have children of my own. I just can’t imagine what they are going thru. But to reconize a previous comment, “God never makes mistakes”. Hunter was my grandson, my wrestling buddy, and snuggling buddy. When he stayed over, which was often, he was always the first one up. He used to sneak in the room and jump right on top of me and start giggling. We talked about everything. He told me his girl friends names and the crazy things he did. I taught him long division and was beginning to teach him how to sail. I told him he should play the bass, because his personality in conjunction with that crazy instrument would make him shine.
When I asked Hunter how it was going in Middle School, he said he loved it. I asked him what people thought of his hair. He said no one had hair like his when he first came to school, but there were a few imposters now. Hunter was teaching me the fine points of how to operate my computer and iphone.
Unfortunately there is no magic fix. Hunter had a special place in my life and I know I did in his.
Please let me take this moment to thank all of you for receiving Hunter into your lives and your school community when he was alive. You made him a happy child. And also thank you for posting all the nice articles about him. At first, reading them was excruciatingly painful. Now it is such a joy.
Learn from Hunter. Be yourself without reservation, be happy, kind, and truthful. Love life it will love you back in return. I wish I could say I taught him those things; and when I saw them I did encourage them. But I am not that smart, nor am I that good, that is who Hunter was.

Hunter, you were such a little cutie pie. I have never seen my brother, Kyle Barbour, so upset about a friend. You were a great friend to him and an awesome ball player. You made us realize that we all have a lot to be thankful for, and to cherish that everyday, for it may be your last. My daughter Madelyn attended elementary school with Hunter. He was always such a sweet and funny young man. Always had a smile on his face. Our family has struggled with this tragic event and pray for the Fromm family everyday. Hunter was a special person and we will always remember that smile and that hair!!

As I walk down the halls of Ransom Middle School , everywhere I look , I see the beautiful smiling face of Michael Hunter Fromm. You were a perfect boy , you never lied , you never cheated and most of all you never hated anyone , for anything. God needed an angel and he couldn’t have picked a better one. We all love you and miss you deeply. I’ve been crying for the past few days but then I realized , you always had a smile on your face and looking down on us I’m sure you would just want us to be smiling back. This couldn’t have been easy for the Fromm family or Kayla Olsen , his loving girlfriend. I’m very sorry this happened and I wish we could bring Hunter back.

just wanted to give a thumbs up to the helmet comment, but to clear this up this family always wears helmets when riding. hunter was not riding he was horsing around with a horse so to speak and fell . this could have happened without a horse involved at all . just wanted to clear this . just please watch comments i know everyone means well but put yourself in their place even well meant comments hurt. maybe we could just send our love to the family and how great and wonderful hunter was , and how many lives he touched on his short time with us . i think the should have, could have , would have, helps no one . god bless.

Very sad and tragic. Im so sorry. I don’t know if this beautiful young boy was wearing a helmet or not. Either way we can all bring away hard reminders that may prevent a heartbreaking accident.
Maybe all his friends and everyone reading this site will use this terrible incident as a reminder to ALWAYS ALWAYS wear your helmet!! Whether on a horse, atv, motorcycle or bicycle, you MUST wear a helmet. It can definately save your life. And i have seen the consequences when a helmet has not been worn. Many prayers to the family and friends.
