What? Wait. I think I can put up 10 of these for half that price and still pocket a hefty profit.
Wait, I say. Something stinks here.
each classroom costs $200,000? wow.
century resident:
what does century have to do with cantonment? This area is very populated and it doesn’t make sense to bus them to the North end of the county…this is a good solution for the future growth.
If 2,000,000.00 would not build a permanent structure instead of
trailers……which is what modulars are…..then there is to much graft
and corruption going on…….
Somebody needs to re-crunch these numbers…….
I think it would have been smarter for them to build a 2 story building with permanent classrooms and with the focus on child obesity they can help get exercise by having their lazy behinds climb the stairs. Just an idea that makes since so it certainly wouldn’t be used. LOL
>>>Was this a “bid” proposal or did one person make this decision? Are bids for projects in Escambia County public records?
There were 11 companies that responded and/or bid on the project.

Was this a “bid” proposal or did one person make this decision? Are bids for projects in Escambia County public records? If not, they should be. For example, road construction contracts!
But let’s close all the Century schools because we don’t have the money to keep them open
My arithmetic my be a little rusty but isn’t that TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS a unit? Is the Taj Mahal judge from Tallahassee designing them?
