Vernon Tops Jay 55-13

The Jay Royals fell to Vernon 55-13 Friday night in District 1-A play.
The Royals opened strong with a 78-yard drive, including a 40-yard Samuel Jones to Trent Sweeny completion. With 6:15 to go in the first quarter, Allen Perry was in from 14-yards out to give the Royals the lead, 7-0.
Jay would not score again until the fourth quarter with a 16-yard touchdown from James.
The Jay Royals (0-4, 0-3) will host South Walton next Friday night.
