Septic Tank Searched In 9-Year Old Case Of Missing Teen Danielle Bell
October 7, 2010
Investigators found nothing Thursday when they searched a septic tank in connection with the 2001 disappearance of Tate High student Danielle Arion Bell, 14.
The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office Cold Case Unit served a search warrant at a home in the 500 block of Cedar Tree Lane in Cantonment — the same home where Bell was reportedly last seen at a party.
As part of that search warrant, a septic tank behind the residence was pumped out, and dogs from Escambia County Search and Rescue were also used around the home.
“They did not find anything,” said Ted Roy, spokesperson for the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators and Roy would not say what new information may have led to Thursday’s search.
Bell was last seen nine years ago on the night of September 28, 2001, and the early morning of September 29, 2001, at the home on Cedar Tree Lane, between Highway 29 and Highway 95A in Cantonment.
Bell is believed to have been the victim of violence, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

I am going to keep the faith that she is alive, And well somwhere .
did any of you folks read the rules before you commented? apparently not.
act like you have some class!
They should have searched for her more 9 years ago…… Even though they may have gotten a tip they could have done more over the years… WE MISS U DANIELLE
what lead Pcola’s Finest to a septic tank in the 1st place?
It actually is NOT the house as soon at the pavement ends on Cedar Tree Lane. Once you hit the dirt the house is the first house after you pasts Phalrose Rd/Lane.
@ jclop ever wonder about the people playing the loud music..as you stated you rarely travel to that area..said it before..YES some good people live around all “crackvilles” although now I hear “METH” is the drug of choice for many now. you probably live in the part that is used to cut thru to get to the apartments on 29.
@ coffee person…I am not a sunday christian..I am a christian & totally believe in GOD…you’ve seen my commments before then you should realize I also know the streets..BEEN THERE DONE THAT! I do not “assume” I state personally known facts. I have lived in the Pensacola area all my life(including Gulf Breeze) have been out in the molino area for 20 yrs..There are way too many “crackvilles” & I’ve said it before I could walk down certain streets & the drug dealers would walk out to your car(as seen on TV) & 1 quick swipe of hands money to drugs & the deal is done.I am not judging any1 although I myself have been judged by so many. Just stating the facts..some like to ignore what is really going on around them.
i live within a walking distance of 3-4 min of this residence….altho ive only lived in this neighborhood for 6 months or so, i have yet to have had a single instance of trouble, vandalism or negativity of any kind…all of my neighbors seem to be very upstanding and those that ive met are very kind and friendly…..i cant attest to what goes on further down the road on cedar tree, as i dont often have a need to travel in that direction….i just know that, (from my perspective) other than loud music on occasion, its a nice, quiet neighborhood …..just trying to offer a balanced view of this neighborhood…but, i totally love living here…..it saddens me about this missing girl…do we know if they have tried to illict the skills of a forensic detective to assist?…even a proven psychic might help.
Mary tends to “assume” most communities are “crackville” drug infested, I’ve seen her comments before….same old, same old,
Mary you one of them “Sunday Christians”???? Oh dare NOT judge!
@ John…yes i have the facts of it being a drug infested area..like all..there are good people that happen to live there also..
EMD, she is saying probably a lot of people in that area were flushing drugs down the toilet because she is of the view it’s a drug infested area of the county.
Mary, I don’t know what you mean.
we miss you danielle!!
I was looking through pur middle school yearbook the other day and came across her face…
she was such a sweet girl and is dearly missed…
at this point I think we all know there’s not much hope left that she’s still alive but her family deserves to know what happened to her and to give her the proper memorial that she deserves…
we love you danielle and we haven’t forgotten you!!!
@ Vincent…if you know something, speak up and contact the police! If you don’t, then SHUT UP and don’t give the family any grief with your false statements. Some of us actually CARE about what happened to her.
I bet just about every1 on that street were “freaking out” lots of toilet flushing..if you know what I mean…
Hey “tank” do you know who they have as a suspect since you said they know she’s dead & who did it but cant prove it..i knew(in the past) some people in that area..
@ Mary no it’s not the house on the corner of Cedar and 95, it’s the house on Cedar right when the pavement stops.
@ Vincent you know thay have let there suspect out, cause they can’t prove anything.
OMG! I know the area..not a good 1..is it the corner house on Cedar tree & highway 95? This is the 1st i have ever heard about the adress of the house but it has been 9 yrs….
They know she’s dead, know who killed her, but cant find her.
What led them to believe the septic needed to be pumped in the first place? Was there a tip?
I agree– sad indeed. I don’t like unanswered questions like this. This girls family deserves answers and I pray Gods’ comfort for the family.
She would be 23 by now, right? You would think if she was still alive she would have tried her best to contact someone or to escape. . .this is so sad.
