Jay’s Hendricks Part Of USA Jag’s Big Win
October 10, 2010
Former Jay High School football standout Rush Hendricks made a couple of big plays Saturday for the University of South Alabama as the Jaguars beat Missouri S&T 45-6 at Ladd-Peebles Stadium.
Hendricks was credited with one reception for eight yards and a single solo tackle for a five-yard loss for the Miners, both in the fourth quarter.
“I thought the defense played very well,” USA head coach Joey Jones said. “Obviously, early they made a drive, but as always our coaches on the sideline made adjustments and our kids adjusted to what they were doing. From that point on, they did a really good job. I was real proud of them today.”
Hendricks, who was a four-year starter for the Royals, also had one reception for a 16-yards two weeks ago in USA’s 64-0 win over Edward Waters College.
The USA Jags are now 5-0.
