Fun And Games: ‘Festival 4 The Furz’ Today In Davisville

“Festival 4 The Furz” today at the Davisville Community Center will benefit a local no-kill animal shelter.
The event will take place from from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Davisville Community Center at 10200 Highway 97. There will be live music, a dunking booth, pony rides, games, a giant water slide and bouncer, face painting, concessions stand, a doggie costume contest and pets available for adoption.
The costume contest begins at 1 p.m.; registration starts at 12:30. There will be first, second and third place prizes for the dogs and their owners. All dogs must be up to date on their rabies shot and kept on a leash at all times. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
There is no admission charged for “Festival 4 The Furz”. Tickets for the games and rides are $1, with all proceeds benefiting Kirby’s Rescue Haven, a no-kill shelter located in McDavid.
