Chiefs Are Only Undefeated District 1-A Team
October 5, 2010
The Northview Chiefs are on top of District 1-A halfway through the football season. The Chiefs and the Freeport Bulldogs are the only teams undefeated in District 1-A football. The Chiefs also have a perfect record overall, while Freeport has one non-district loss.
The Chiefs will celebrate homecoming Friday night against Holmes County (3-1, 3-1). Holmes County’s only loss was to Vernon two weeks ago. Freeport will put their perfect district record on the line against South Walton (3-2, 2-2).
The Jay Royals, the other North Escambia area team in District 1-A, are winless this season.

It is good to see teams doing well from that area. Even though I grew up in Flomaton and had great times playing against Century and Earnest Ward, it is great to see them doing well. I also have cousins who go to school there. I am in Tennessee now but still try and keep up with them. Joey you are correct about the line. If they were not getting the job done there may be only one win. Good Luck tomorrow night.
Know Dat
I praise the linemen with out them my son would take a lot of hits. That is why I have always felt it is a team that makes the plays. Without a good line the ball would never go anywhere it would be sack after sack. Lol. Keep up the good work boys. I depend on that line to block and they have done a super job. You all have a very important position on the field. Every last one of you.
YAY Go Chiefs!!! Undefeated!!! )
Chiefs Fan,
You are absolutely correct. The success or failure of the offensive backfield is directly related to how well the offensive line executes it’s assignments. I have noticed that those linemen don’t quit. They stay with there blocks. Many times I have seen them make some key blocks twenty yards down field. Your QB and RB’s may get the glory (they are definitely good athletes), but you deserve much of the credit also. These guys may be young, but they’re getting it done!
Good Job Guys! But all you ever here about is who ran for what yards. How about a little love for those O lineman. According to the PNJ at the start of the year they were suppose to be a bad spot because they were young. I’ve been to a couple of games, and look at those pictures, those “young lineman” are getting it done.
