Fire Destroys Motor Home, Damages House, Garage

Fire destroyed a motor home and damaged a home and garage Sunday afternoon in Flomaton.

The fire was reported about 3:00 in the 4000 block of Old Atmore Road, near Tulip Road.

According to Flomaton Fire Chief Steve Stanton, the resident was making repairs to the motor home when it caught fire. The fire caused damage to a garage immediately in front of the motor home, and the heat from the fire damaged the side of the resident’s home.

The Flomaton Fire Department, Friendship Volunteer Fire Department, the Century Station of Escambia Fire Rescue, the McDavid Station of Escambia Fire Rescue, Escambia County EMS and the Flomaton Police Department responded to the fire.
