I am very proud of these 3 girls. They work really hard preparing for competition season.

In addition to being an advanced twirler, Leslie Miller is also the Head Majorette of the Santa Rosa Escambia Twirlers, and a member of the Pace High School Majorette Line in Pace. FL.
Leslie got 4th place in 2009 with her Intermediate 1 baton solo.
This year she placed 3rd. in the Advanced 3 baton division.
Leslie and Hali got a National Title for their duet.

Hali is an awesome twirler and continues to excel in all she does. It’s really something to continue to twirl at this level and to consistantly place in the top 10 at Nationals.

We are very proud of Whitney winning a National Championship in her 1st time at Nationals. Way to Go Whitney!!!

Next year we are looking forward to Colbi going with these girls to South Bend IN and showing her twirling abilities too.

All of these young ladies have a bright future in the baton twirling world.

    Way to go!!!!!!!!!!!!

The girls did great! 2 years ago, Hali and Leslie won the World Open Duet Championship. This was Hali’s 5th year competing at Notre Dame and she has placed in the top 10 each year. Hali and Leslie both twirl 3 fire batons. Whitney has only been with the Santa Rosa and Escambia Twirlers for only 1 year. When she came to Melissa, it was like learning to twirl from the basics. Hali has been with Melissa for 7 yrs and can now be seen on the football field at Pine Forest High school during half time twirling, 1, 2, and 3 batons, as well as fire!

Congratulations girls! Also, I would just like to thank northescambia.com for running this story! As a former FHS majorette and Troy University majorette, I love to see stories about twirling and other twirlers. You just don’t hear enough about it around here! I have several family members in this twirling group and the group is amazing!!

To add to this, the girls competed against over 40 girls at the ADVANCED level! Leslie is the girl that has only twirled for 5 years and she twirls 3 fire batons at one time and 4 regular batons at one time! Whitney has only twirled for 2 YEARS and is a World Open Solo Champion, OMG! I think that the twirlers are going to be in the Flomoton Christmas parade again this year and even some basketball games, I heard. There are twirlers traveling from Excel, Atmore, Brewton, Uriah, and other places, so it looks like we will be doing many more performances in Alabama. Twirlers will travel! Can’t wait!

WTG Girls! You girls are so awesome and amazing to watch at every performance. Over the time that Raychell has been with the group, I also have seen how much each of you have come out. It has really paid off, with all the sweat, bruises and hardcore practices. Keep up the excellent twirling !!!
