Severe Thunderstorm Warning
Statement as of 3:56 PM CDT on August 04, 2010

The National Weather Service in Mobile has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
northwestern Escambia County in northwest Florida…
southwestern Escambia County in south central Alabama…
north central Baldwin County in southwest Alabama…

* until 500 PM CDT

At 409 PM CDT…National Weather Service radar continued to indicate
a severe thunderstorm capable of producing damaging winds over 60
mph.  This storm was near i65 and CR 1…or about 20 miles northeast
of Bay Minette…moving southwest at 15 mph.

Other locations in the warning include but are not limited to
Atmore…Lottie…Bratt…

Nokomis…Perdido…I-65 and CR 47 and
Rabun.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Move
indoors immediately! Lightning is one of natures number one killers.
Remember…if you can hear thunder…you are close enough to be
struck by lightning.
