I can relate to this ladies accident. If you have never dropped off the edge of a road and experienced the losing control of a vehicle, you have no idea. I did this on a narrow hwy 164 with my SUV after trying to pass a vehicle that was coming towards me and they were almost on the center line so I moved over and barely got off the road and immediately lost control. All it takes is to drop off the edge and that’s it. As soon as I lost control and let off the gas and immediately started fish tailing in the road. You just have to let the vehicles slow its own self down and work easily back and forth with it. Trying not to panic and keep control really helps! Panic can come later like it did with me. I’m sure this may not work in some cases but it helped me. Thank the good lord!!! Much to my amazement I got control back after fish tailing back and forth about 6 times. But I can tell you this! I never want to go through that again. I wanted to kiss the ground when I finally stopped and it took the rest of the day to stop shaking. I am just thankful no one was coming towards me or it would have been a terrible ending while I was recovering the vehicle all over the road. Hope this may help someone if ever needed.
Hope the lady is still doing better. I do believe there are angels watching over us.

Why are people so quick to blame the road for accidents? A vehicle will only respond to how it is driven. If you speed or don”t pay attention to your driving, accidents will happen. Hwy 97 is a good example. The road dept. comes in and resurfaces the road and accidents increase. Why? Because people will drive faster and faster.Rember, the curves are still there and the posted speed limit was put there for a reason. Don”t exceed the speed limit and pay attention to the road and accidents will decrease.

You don’t get a chance to defend yourself in newsprint. Only on the web can you speak for yourself. This is a fine example of American freedom. Participate, it’s your right. Semper Fi!
Hwy 29 has several notorious hazards! I can’t recall how many deaths we’ve had between here and Molino in my 30+ years out this way. Glad the driver is okay!

I ran off the road and over corrected. No texting, cell phone talking, speeding or anything else. Just an accident, which do happen. I just thank the Lord that I’m okay, I didn’t hit anyone else and I had such worderful first responders! The first men at the wreck were so wonderful! Sorry can’t remember names but may God bless you guys!

I do hope that the person involved in this accident is alright. There have been so many accidents on hwy 29 lately, along with alot of other hiways as well. I was coming home yesterday, doing the speed limit and their were several vehicles flying right on past me. People, Please slow down!!!
