Let’s catch the illegals. Don’t let them know where the police are. I think it is pointless too.

    REGARDING:
“it just seems pointless because now people know where to avoid driving. That seems silly to me.”

My general impression is that law enforcement is not intended to catch people breaking laws but–if possible–to prevent them from breaking the laws in the first place.

I knew of one who favored fuzz-busters, radar detectors, because they got drivers to slow down to a safe, legal speed. That’s all most want anyway.

    David for stopping crime

The thing about it Michelle,is that the folks who would be driving around with no insurance or license never read the paper or listen to talk radio where these warnings are usually given, so no harm no foul.

I guess there is a legal technicality for advance warning? it just seems pointless because now people know where to avoid driving. That seems silly to me.

The police don’t give advance warning of where they are going to be with their radar guns for speeding. So what is the difference?

Impressive. Eight checkpoints in 31 days for two counties and nothing north of Kingsfield Road.
