Cheese Toast? Nearly 40,000 Pounds Of Cheese Burns On I-10

A semi trailer with 39,600 pounds cheese burned on I-10 Thursday afternoon in Escambia County, shutting the interstate down for hours.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Singh Jaspal of California, was eastbound on I-10 just inside the Florida line just after 2 p.m. when he noticed the brakes of his trailer were on fire. He disconnected the trailer from the semi.
The fire destroyed the trailer and the shredded five-blend cheese, according to the FHP. Fletchers Towing organized the cheesy cleanup and removal of the trailer — a process that closed the interstate for about five hours.
The driver of the truck was not injured.

OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!! I was stuck in traffic for four hours. The accident turned a 2 hour drive into a 6 hour wait that pushed me to the edge of insanity!!!

But I thought it was a GOUDA story. The FHP provided a news BRIE-fing, and I thought…hey it’s NACHO ordinary story. I wasn’t trying to make the driver out to be a MUENSTER. I really STILTON don’t think it was that bad. Besides, if I did not run the story, some other paper would have HAVARTI done it.
At least he was OK and not CREAMED; he got to go home last night to his COTTAGE. Rumors that he took the CURD too SHARP and BLEU a tire are just not true.

William, my respect for you has melted away for making light of this poor truckdriver’s situation. It’s nacho normal way to poke fun at his misfortune, I’m sure he was plenty blue about it. I think you milked that story for about all it was worth…
To shorfits the cost of cheese is already gone up with the wining from all these people (scientist and so on) about how much money they can get from the BP fund that will take away from the people that need it.
I hope this doesn’t mean a cost hike in cheese…..it’s high enough already!
