Qualifying Over For Escambia Candidates; Some Elected Without Opposition

Friday was the last day for candidates to qualify to run for office in Escambia County and Pensacola.

Candidates were required to file qualifying paperwork by noon on Friday for county and City of Pensacola offices. Qualifying for Town of Century offices will take place July 26-30.

The following candidates had qualified by deadline. Those listed without opposition will be elected to the office in which they qualified.

    Should Ashton Hayward be trusted as mayor, I have read that he did not disclose his felony charge on a application for appointment by the Govenor. Also, his employment history is not verified…
