    Safebear,

I dont know why they would HAVE to.

Escambia County is not small. Geographically more sq. miles than Montgomery County.

    Fall into what rut??
    Like what others??

I don’t complain. I support police and whoever is Sheriff.

Oh, and on making Flomaton and Poarch substations of the sheriffs office – don’t you think Flomaton and Poarch would have to do that? and in a county as small as Escambia, it won’t take long to fall into the same rut as all the others and then you’ll be complaining and wanting someone new. Grover has done a great job with is resources and this Heath guy sounds like a lot of good but expensive ideas….raise taxes…pay for deputies.

Go Bo in the runoff – we need a business man in there who knows how to handle money and personnel issues. We don’t need a teacher who sues everybody when she don’t get what she wants.

This is not a new issue. On most nights when Hawsey was in, there was only one deputy working. Im personally in favor of turning Flomaton and Poarch PD into county substations. I believe both candidates are more than qualified, and this will be a close race.

Money only had a little to do with it. He could do alot better if he tried…. To many officiers in desk during the day instead of out on the road day and night… I do not feel safe with only 2 officiers out at night. We have a HUGE COUNTY and it is only covered by 2 deputies at night what a SHAME… IT IS TIME FOR A CHANGE!!!!

Grover Smith for sheriff. The most qualified for the job Heath I’m sure is a good guy, but Grover is an outstanding sheriff and has done an outstanding job with the money that has been available. You know you can only do as much as money will allow!!!

Congrats Mr. Jackson. I’m looking forward to the changes you have planned for our county. Favortism and danty policing will come to an end if you’re in the driver seat. Good luck.
