Grimes Arrested On Drug Charges

June 2, 2010

A Century man is facing drug paraphernalia charges after a traffic stop.

Deputy Jason Land spotted a Chevrolet pickup with an expired tag Sunday afternoon on North Century Boulevard near East Highway 4.  According to an Escambia County Sheriff’s Office arrest report, Javis Cain Grimes, 25, of Gilmore Road, Century, was charged with three counts of possessing drug paraphernalia after Land discovered two 100 ml syringes in the driver’s door of the truck and an additional syringe in Grimes’ pocket.

Grimes (pictured) was released from the Escambia County Jail on $1,500 bond. He is due back in court on June 23.

He was also issued a traffic citation for the expired tag.

WOW! Once again? They may as well keep him behind bars or else they’ll just keep repeating themselves of arresting him…

Next time they see him they should just let him go on by. They’re not going to do anything to him, so why waste tax money? It makes me sick to know that this creep is on our streets, the same time I am with my children! Maybe they’ll do something to him once he wrecks and kills somebody!

    Regarding Curious Observer’s comment:

    Good point!

In my defense, one’s powers of observation tend to get a little cloudedt at 3 AM after working a 5th 12 hour midshift in a row………

Next time he gets arrested..William can copy and paste from the other articles but will have to change the dates….WHO IS BAILING HIM OUT ANYWAY ? Got him on Sunday afternoon…coming from church maybe ?

  6. rukiddingme on June 2nd, 2010 2:38 pm

By bailing this guy out, you are not helping him, but hurting him. When the time comes that he has killed someone or himself, then what are you going to do?

  7. Pcola on June 2nd, 2010 12:43 pm

Well, what do you think he was using them for???! He’s been arrested in previous months, so I don’t think they were insulin syringes! And how smart is he driving with an expired tag anyway? Crazy, crazy.

I just do not understand our judicial system…are they just trying to make money off people by letting them out so they can keep doing the same things and hope they don’t kill someone. Why does this Guy keep having 4 or 5 chances?????

  10. Concerned on June 2nd, 2010 11:50 am

This guy definitely needs help- he should be locked up for his own good!
The next time we read about him may be in the Obituaries!

How many times does this make? If it was our family members we wouldn’t even have a chance. Fair is Fair! Send him away, he hasn’t learned anything, yet!

I’m sorry, but if this was my son they would have already put him in prison and threw away the key. This is so uncall for that they kee[ letting him go. I believe the only help that will do any good here is to let him do time for his crime.

  14. Curious Observer on June 2nd, 2010 8:15 am

I’m just commenting on what Seek counseling young man said, actually if he got arrested on Sunday, then he got arrested in May and not June. June is still open for now.

Oh my!!! This guy needs to be in jail on no bond… This is absurd! Wake up judge, put his sorry carcus in jail and hold him there until court. When will the judge wake up and lock him up?

If he looks familiar it’s because this is his third appearance on NorthEscambia.com this year for drug-related arrests.

He was arrested in March 2010, April 2010 and now June 2010.

I guess on a positive note, he avoided arrest for the whole month of May.

Looks like he has now moved from the pipe to the needle which means death is not far behind unless he gets help soon.

Are they just writing about this again or is this the third time this guy has been busted with the same stuff???????????????
