Century Library Summer Reading Series Begins With Chinese Acrobat

Kids of all ages enjoyed the acrobat Liang, a Chinese Olympian,  spinning plates, balancing cups of water on her chin and even spinning knives Tuesday at Century Branch Library.

It was part of the library’s summer reading program.

The Century Branch Library invites children to celebrate with more summer library programs each Tuesday at noon.

  • June 15 – Dr. Zap, fun and wacky
  • June 22 – John Jaramillo, storyteller and dancer
  • June 29 – David Stephens, puppetry
  • July 6, Ross Mudge, sing patriotic songs
  • July 13, Beau Broomall, magician

    WOW! what a great opportunity to spend time at the library with the grandkids! Thank you Century Library for all your efforts in bringing a great lineup of summer entertainment to us all. I look forward to it as much as the kids do.

    It was so fun seeing and writing a story about Liang. She is so amazing! I mean, come on, SHE CAN SPIN 25 HULA HOOPS! ONLY WOMAN IN THE WORLD! SSSSOOOOO COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    BIG THANKS TO THE LIBRARY FOR PUTTING THIS ON. The photos of the children are wonderful. Those little faces were filled with such looks of wonderment . I wonder if any of them will try spinning mama’s good plates at home?
