Memorial Held For Pedestrian Killed Last Week

Friends and family gathered at his favorite fishing spot on Pensacola Beach Wednesday night to remember Billy G. Beck III.
Beck, 23, was walking on New Chemstrand Road May 6 when he was struck by at least three vehicles. The driver of the first vehicle to strike Beck fled the scene and has not yet been located by the Florida Highway Patrol.
Family members said that by sharing the photos here on NorthEscambia.com, they hope that it will show that Beck was loved and the amount of pain his death has caused his family. They hope that someone will step forward with information that will lead to the arrest of the unknown driver.

Billy Beck III is survived by his parents, Billy Jr. & Cathy Beck; brothers, Victor (Desiree) and Austin Beck; grandparents, C.A. & Mildred Longo; aunts & uncles, James Beck, Darlene Thompson, Susan Fonté, Anthony Longo and Charles Longo; his girlfriend, Jesseca Madrid; and close friends, Jason Fetters, Clint Wooten & Cami Wooten and a host of other family and friends.
“Superman loved to draw and fish the Bob Sikes Bridge, Ft. Pickens and area ponds and creeks. One can imagine that he’s finally found that perfect fishing hole,” his obituary stated.
The Florida Highway Patrol says Beck was walking northbound on the paved portion of New Chemstrand Road just south of 10 Mile Road when he was struck by a northbound vehicle. That vehicle fled the scene.
Beck was then struck by the front undercarriage of vehicle driven by Devin J. Poe, 18, of Cantonment. Poe and passenger in his vehicle, Joshua F. Valentine, 18, of Pensacola, were not injured.
A third vehicle, driven by Julian J. Donato, 24, of Pace, then struck Beck.
Charges are pending the outcome of the investigation, according to the FHP.
The FHP said they have no information or description of the vehicle that fled the scene. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact Cpl. Michael J. Tucker at the Florida Highway Patrol Station in Pensacola, (850) 484-5000 ext.331.

Billy I have no clue where to start. All I know is that I LOVE YOU SO MUCH! I know we have had our arguments and fights but you know I told and did stuff to you because I LOVE YOU and didnt want anything to happen to you.You are always in my HEART like you always have been. I just wish we could have spent more time with each other like family is suppose to do. So if you are reading this if your family is not spending time with each other you need to make it a habit to do that NOW because there is no telling who is NEXT! I LOVE MY WHOLE FAMILY TO DEATH! I WOULD DIE JUST TO HAVE HIM BACK. HE MEAN AND STILL MEANS A LOT TO ME. If anyone hears or knows who done this please step up and be a man or woman and get this DEPRESSION off of our chest a little bit. They probably wont find the person who did this but all I know is that GOD knows who did this. He is not to happy with the person who did it. i have know austin for a wile now but i only meet LiL BiLL a week before this happen but i can say this he was loved dearly by Jessica my mom robin and my aunt camie he was clint’s best friend and the nicest guy i know and he will all ways be in are hearts we love ya man ♥
i dont understand why some one would do something like this to him hi vitor and austin a close to me and now that he is gone i dont know what to do any more it hurts so much to know hes gone
I think this is one of the hardest thing that could happen to someone i dont understand how some one could drive off if your reading this what if it was your son,brother,boyfriend or girlfriend,uncle how would u fell i hope and pray for LiL BiLL that they get the person who done this. You have to be a horrible person WHY didn’t you just stop now we here stuck wondering what happen. WHY….. Billy was our BEST FRIEND and i know he will always be an he will always be look-in down on my baby boys,us and his Girlfriend Jessica… I hope every time you close your eyes you see LiL BiLL the person you took from us…. May The lord give you all peace, in this horrible time of loss, No one can quite understand why some one could just NOT STOP!! What is wrong with people! Well he will be Missed Greatly! Im praying for Kathy, Bill and Jessica, and all his other friends and family which were so numerous, He had peps everywhere! And we need to celebrate the life he loved and lived! I do hope that someone will step up and turn themselves in for the crime they have done here, and may the guilt and burden be on them until they do. I can’t believe this young man was struck by 3 different vehicles, without someone actually seeing this poor man; especially the first one. Please, whoever you are; please come forward with the truth…
