Traffic Watch: Lane Closures Today On Highway 97 Near State Line

Guardrail work will continue today on Highway 97 near the Alabama state line, and actual resurfacing of the highway is expected to being next week.
Crews will be working today to replace the guardrail on the southbound lane of Highway 97 between the Alabama state line and the Piggly Wiggly. Lane closures are expected.
Repaving operations are scheduled to begin Monday in an area near Molino Park Elementary School. There will be lane closures during the resurfacing operation.
Also in North Escambia, Sandy Hollow Road remains closed due to damage to the Sandy Hollow Creek Bridge. Work to repair the bridge is due to take about two weeks to complete. Highway 97 is the detour for the road that runs between West Highway 4 and Gobbler Road in Davisville.
