‘Squirrel Boy’ Busted After Selling Pot To Informant

April 21, 2010

A Century man known as “Squirrel Boy” was arrested after selling drugs to an Escambia County Sheriff’s Office confidential informant.

allenericquincy10.jpgEric Quincy Allen, 41, was charged with two counts of marijuana possession with intent to sell after allegedly selling marijuana to the informant outside of a Salter’s Lake Road residence in Century.

According to the sheriff’s office arrest report, the informant told deputies that “Squirrel Boy” sits outside the residence and sells marijuana. Using their computer systems, the sheriff’s office was able to determine that Allen is sometimes known as “Squirrel Boy”. Allen was positively identified by the informant when shown his photograph.

Wearing a listening and recording device, the confidential informant traveled to Allen’s residence on Salter’s Lake Road. The informant made contact with Allen who was sitting outside the residence and purchased marijuana with funds belonging to the sheriff’s office, the report states. After the drug buy, a warrant was prepared for Allen’s arrest.

Allen was arrested and booked into the Escambia County Jail. He was later released on $10,000 bond. He is due to appear in court on May 7.

The solution to this idiotic “war on marijuana” is jury nullification. Always excercise you rright to trial, “squirrel boy”, and we will find you not guilty every time. If these moronic marijuana charges are dismissed with a not guilty verdict time after time, the authorities will realize that we have taken our rights back. Unjust laws are wrong. Jury nullifications is the only way to change these unjust laws. NOT GUILTY SQUIRREL BOY!

    Hey Blondie-

    chillax, OK?

Most ConfInfs are criminals trying to get out of a hole by putting someone else into it.

Weed shouldn’t be illegal because, after all, “God made weed, man made liquor—who do you trust?”

I know it is a crime to sell drugs, but why do we bash them as if they make people use drugs. If we lock up all the abusers, then they would have no one to sell to. They choose to use drugs, the dealers aren’t killing them. They are killing themselves. How do you know he didn’t sell to your kids. We don’t know all our kids do and if mine gets their grown behinds out there and wants to use drugs; it’s their own fault.

  4. The voice of common sense on April 22nd, 2010 8:02 am

I also wish that the government would legalize marijuana, since it is obvious that something that grows anywhere will not be eradicated, and use all the money that is saved when people are no longer being incarcerated for possession and all the manhours that are saved in investigating and busting these people to combat the problems with coke, crack, meth, heroin, etc. If they would do this, it would make a HUGE difference in the REAL drug problem that we have.

I would much rather be around someone who has smoked a little pot than someone who just snorted a line or two or even just had a few drinks. Someone on pot is calm, mellow, cheerful, etc. You never know how some
one will react who is drinking or doing other drugs. Ask anyone who works with people, such as LEOs or medical professionals and they will tell you the same.

We would be so much better served to stop combating a natural substance that does no harm and start fighting all these harsh chemicals that are so popular and are destroying our children and our country.

To those who say or think that nice people don’t sell dugs.

Your local grocer, convenient store clerk, liquor store clerks, etc. sell drugs EVERY DAY! Many of you sit here and judge a man while puffing on your cigarettes, sipping your beer and/or popping those little happy pills the pharmacist gave you. Those are drugs too! And even though they are legal drugs, they are still very dangerous drugs.

Marijuana is far less harmful than any of the above mentioned drugs, yet due to pharmaceutical, alcohol and tobacco industry lobbying, marijuana remains illegal in all but 14 states. But rest assured happy tokers, there are 14 other states with pending legislation or ballot measures on tap to legalize medical marijuana. So it is just a matter of time before it is legal everywhere. Matter of fact I would be willing to bet donuts to dollars that it will be legal before they finish the HWY 29 project. LOL!

“Just learn from this and keep going. Just know who you are hanging around with. Now is the time for you to change your environment and some of the people you hang with.”

In other words, don’t sell pot to cops anymore.

Your all saying to pray for him. Now I may be wrong, but I’m pretty sure I don’t remember Jesus being a pot dealer…nice or otherwise. I hope our justice system does its job. Their trying to crack down on all the dealers, they need to back up the talk. Putting them in jail and letting them right back out with a slap on the wrist and a fine isn’t doing anything. They just go HOME and sell less drugs for more money to make up for what they had to pay to get out of jail.

We can raise our kids the best way we can but we don’t know what they will do. So make sure your kids are doing right and not jugde other people kids. One mistake and the whole world is against you. Where are our brothers keeper. When something like this happens to lift him up and not tear him down. We are not to put the next one down. This is the time that the real people should come forth and encourage him. Even through he made a mistake and help him not to make the same mistake again. Eric please learn trom this and keep going. You have more going for you or more people for you then against you. Be encourage my brother…

Selling any type of drug is illegal in the State of Florida, regardless of how “nice” this man may be. I am sure he was intelligent enough to have figured that out for himself and just took his chances anyway. I am sorry that he took that chance but not sorry he was arrested. We will never win the war on drugs if people are allowed to sit in front of their homes or hang on street corners selling drugs to anyone who has the money and our neighbors and friends “simply look the other way”.

Above everything else, we have to think of the future of OUR kids.

Drugs are the main reason for gang wars and OUR kids “dying by the numbers” in America today. Black, white, Hispanic, Oriental, they are OUR kids..and their future is in our hands!! Please people, stop, think, and then DO THE RIGHT THING!!

Can we arrest people who are actually criminals committing violent offenses or that are actual threats to the community instead of spending thousands of dollars on departmental operations, informant, and court costs to arrest a pot dealer in the middle of nowhere? I mean, it costs money to conduct these undercover operations, yet no some seems to care that their tax dollars are being used on such frivolous criminals.

    To: Denise and Barbie,

I do not know this man, I am sure he is a very nice man, otherwise, no one would buy the marijuana from him, I am sure! On the other hand, he may have a job, pay taxes and be an upstanding pillar of the community, but what he was doing was ILLEGAL! Plain and simple! No matter how he was caught, he broke the law and now must face the consequences of his actions.

I will also say a prayer for him, that once he gets finished with his jail term (may justice be served well), he will turn his life around and be legal and moral in all of his future endeavors!

    Have a great day all!

I went to school with Eric and as others have stated, he IS a really nice guy. He is now accused of selling some pot to a “confidential informant”. If he did this, then he is guilty and he knows that it is wrong.

You know, I’m sure this will be an unpopular sentiment, but I have no use whatsoever for a “confidential informant” AKA narc, rat, fink, etc. These people pretend to be friends with the people they get arrested and it’s not always the truth that they tell. They are liars and hypocrites, smoking dope with the people they turn on, befriending their children, etc. How can you trust their testimonies when their entire relationship with the accused is lies? How can you believe it in court when you can’t believe it in “real life”? To me, they are just as bad as the people they have arrested.

I was once arrested based on a CI’s accusation that was later proven to be a flat out lie. Their CI was mad because I wouldn’t go out with him and so he told the police that I was selling drugs. I have NEVER sold drugs! Yeah, I smoked some pot in my time, but I didn’t move on to other harder drugs and I quit that a long time ago. I can’t afford it and I can’t afford to be arrested and sent to jail. This CI told the police that I was selling pot and had sold it to him several times. The police “busted in” my front door in the middle of the night, terrorized my kids and took me to jail. It was printed up in the TriCity Ledger, making me out to be a HUGE drug dealer. None of this was true, but the damage was done. When it came to trial, all charges were dismissed because there was no evidence whatsoever that I had ever been involved in any such thing and the CI was proven to be dishonest and to “have it out” for me. But do you think the TriCity Ledger ever printed that? Of course not!! Not that it would have made much of a difference since they had already spread the word everywhere that I was a dealer and no one would have cared about the exoneration. The really sad thing about it is that there was never an apology for all the money it cost me, the trauma that my children and I were subjected to, NOTHING. And guess what? Does anybody remember the rash of church burnings back in the ’90’s? Well, guess what CI is now sitting in prison for that? Yep, the same one who lied on me. How many others did he lie about? How many were sent to prison because they couldn’t prove the truth?

If Eric is guilty, then he deserves his punishment. However, don’t be so quick to judge people based on initial reports. More often than not, they are NOT the truth.

All i can say is Eric don’t worry about the nay-sayers. People have there right to state there opinion. But don’t let this get you down. Hold your head up. You are not the only people who have made a mistake We all have. Just learn from this and keep going. Just know who you are hanging around with. Now is the time for you to change your environment and some of the people you hang with. God does everything for a reason. Yes the bible speaks of know the person by there fruits. And no i am not taking up for him. But we are so quick to judge a person. It goes back to the sermon on sunday. We can do one bad thing and we are the worst person in the world. But never think about the good a person does. BUt Eric if God be for you he is more then the whole world against you. You are in my prayers. I will not judge you but pray for you. Just learn from this and don;t keep making the same mistake. Hookup with the right people. God is going to put postive people in your life. And shut the mouth of the lions. SO be strong and of good courage.GOD sits high and he looks low. God looks at the heart but me looks at the outer. Just know who you are. They will say whatever. But hookup the the Godly people and keep moving on. This will not stop what God has planned for you. And that is life and not death. So look unto the hills from which cometh your help because your help comes from God not man. Be encourage..And my prayers are with you. And God bless you……

    DRUGS

I lived next door to a super nice guy once that did the same thing, and
he also if you knew, most didn’t, that he also had cocaine.
The only reason I knew was because his wife didn’t like it, and told

to be nice, if he were a prick to ppl they would call the cops.

    THINK ABOUT THAT

I don’t do drugs, but I personnally feel it is anybodies right to stick
anything they want in any orifice they have, BUT we have to have
laws because ppl are such idiots, and they go out and do stupid stuff
and commit crimes because of these types of things, so we have
to spend tax payer money to write laws and police them because their
    so stupid.

OTHERWISE THEY COULD STICK ANYTHING ANYWHERE, AND
IF THEY DIDN’T HURT OTHERS, WE WOULDN’T HAVE TO.\
CARTER PUT MARYJANE ON THE DANGEROUS DRUG LIST, SO

THIS NICE GUY SHOULD HAVE GOT OFF HIS BUT AND WORKED
