County Offers Landfill Tour

If you want to know what happens to your trash and recyclables at the landfill, there’s a tour for you on Wednesday.

The Escambia County Division of Solid Waste Management will host public tours at 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m. at the Perdido Landfill at 13009 Beulah Road. Tours will include a look at the recycling center, the landfill and the citizen’s convenience center.

    Sign me up! I’ve always wanted to spend a couple of hours touring a stinking LANDFILL!!! Goldarn, the kids’r gonna wet their pants when I tell em where WE’RE goin!

    Uh, no thanks….I trust you and what you do with it after I have recycled it!! I would rather spend my day kyaking on one of our beautiful Florida rivers if you don’t mind!
